Pretty underwhelming. Bruce sounds tired; nowhere near as strong a vocal performance as his appearance with Bleachers. Whether that's more the production or just a weaker performance I'm not sure. Not really into the orchestral sweep compared to the original, either.

 

I think the video makes it a lot more powerful. The way they've staged Brandon and Bruce to almost look like mirrors of one another, trading/sharing verses about aging and mortality from clearly different points of life, as if it's a conversation is really cool. Obviously Brandon still brings it vocally, but Bruce's weathered vocals really provide a nice tenderness to the song.

 

Yeah, I was gonna say the first shot of Bruce with "he looks just like you want him to..." is pretty cool, at least.

 

I mean…Bruce is 71 years old. Dude is probably tired from time to time.

 

The Killers' new album is coming in August and will be "very different"

 

Man, the back half of this album is so good. Really kicks into gear after the [REDACTED] feature.

Seems like it. Mirage came out in August and we’d had three singles by now.

 

They seem to do a heartland rock album every even album, so if they continue on that trend this should be something very different! Stoked for it

 

I know initially Brandon had said he was inspired by music he grew up listening to for this one, though I obviously don't know how much of that held through to the end. But I'm expecting something more new wave or post-punk inspired this go around.

I'd be clamoring for a Robert Smith feature if he wasn't already on a few this past year, haha.

 

Lol I'm afraid to get in trouble or I'd tell you what Springsteen album I really think it sounds like.

Looks like the album, or at least lead single, is called Pressure Machine. Some stuff has leaked from the website.

 

Sorry if I've missed something here but I thought Mark was involved with this album, but he's the only one not shown in the teaser. Is anyone able to clarify?

 

Apparently August 13th for the album, with the title that was mentioned two posts ago

 

I'm always ready to hear new Killers. Hopefully we get a preorder soon.
