I've been comparing it to Riot Fest because I feel like that's the closest thing to compare... They have 5 stages, and when I went in 2019 there were several instances where 3 bands I wanted to see were playing at the same time & it was so spread out that bouncing around really wasn't feasible. It happens, but hopefully the 3 stage thing will go well

furnace fest has the most solid lineup out of all the different festivals happening this fall and the best part is that the headliners are bands most people wont want to see which gives us out of towners more time to explore the city and spend money at the bars and restaurants. coming down from massachusetts and i cannot wait

so this is what it feels like to be an elder millennial, huh?

also, i think this statement is wildly untrue.

edit: you're older than me! interesting. i'm skipping KSE, but Underoath and TBS are huge draws for me.

After a year of being stuck inside, my soul needs to be in a field with strangers losing my voice to songs I loved in Junior High aka the headliners on this bill

I think they just mean that those headliners have been playing shows non-stop for the last 2 decades more or less. Not that people aren't still into those bands, but most of the people going to FF have probably seen those bands live before whereas a lot of the rest of the lineup haven't played as consistently, or at all, in a while.

I really want to see the stage/time lineup so I can mentally prepare for who I’m gonna miss.

One of my first ever "scene" shows was Mae/Circa Survive/Mute Math when I was 15 (what a damn line-up) and I had to leave three songs into Mae because of curfew and I never got a chance to see Mae again after that, so definitely going to prioritize seeing them in hopes of finally seeing Anything live. I'd love it to be an "Everglow" set, but that's probably asking for too much.

It just dawned on me that most crowd will probably be around 35+ years old and that made me even more excited knowing it will probably be more laid back... I'm too old and broken for pits at my age

Mae has already confirmed that it will be a complete Everglow show.

I hope they decided to move to four stages or else these sets are gonna be far shorter than we want them to be/the day will have to start at like 9am all three days.

Exactly what I’m worried about. I’m rational In that I’m not expecting The Bled (insert any other reunion/rare band) to get 60min but worried it’s only going to be 25-30 which kinda sucks after all these years. Lineup is still absolutely loaded so fun will be had! But with Mae announcing ever glow that’s a decent run time on the whole record so that makes me excited for set times being longer. Don’t know what to think now.

Yeah a lot of the full album sets are close to an hour runtime-Mae, Juliana Theory, Showbread. And I think the fest confirmed that sets are going to start at noon each day.

Here's what I could find confirmed on the Furnace Fest twitter since the line-up was re-announced.

    Saturday:

Poison the Well - The Opposite of December

    Sunday:

    Copeland - Beneath Medicine Tree
The Juliana Theory - Emotion is Dead

And here are the others that have been seemingly confirmed by the initial 2020 announcement/current tours:

    Saturday:

    Mae - The Everglow

    Sunday:

Showbread - No Sir, Nihilism Is Not Practical

And I guess mewithoutYou performing Brother, Sister isn't off the table?

I can't find anything to back it up, but I feel like I saw somewhere that Cartel was playing Chroma in full. I might be confused because they're playing "songs from Chroma" at Chain Fest, but I really feel like I saw somewhere they're playing it at Furnace Fest

I would 100% take both of those sets.

180 is my favorite TBS song, so I hope that stays in!
