You can check the accountability thread for all the receipts but former member Ciaran O’Donnell was accused of sexual assault and the band kept him in the band for months and then kept him on their UK tour with Blink before eventually firing him. They never released a statement when the original accusation came out and when it was brought to light a second time with way more details it took them months to respond and they only responded through their mailing list. They also didn’t acknowledge much of the survivors statement, and shut the survivor out of most of the entire situation.

So, the promoter who put that together went bankrupt... So I don't think that's happening again. But that's how Fat Mike got the Punk in Drublic festival name back.

So maybe they're bringing it back to Thorneville again as PiD? I dunno, but I'm excited to hear what it is!

I would love that. Went to both years of it (IMO hope they keep the camp anarchy name, it was way better than camp punk in drublic). Both years were a beautiful, chaotic shitshow.

the only problem is I don’t see how it can continue as an ongoing thing without either reusing the same 5 headliners or significantly changing/taking on more of a warped lineup vibe

Yeah, I went both years too. And it was a blast! I'm honestly pretty okay with them recycling the same 5 headliners every couple years, so long as they switch up the undercard. Part of the "issue" with Punk in Drublic is that it's heavily curated by Fat Mike, so it's always gonna be the bands he's friends with. And NOFX is always going to play.

My biggest problem with the majority of those festivals (PiD, Punk in the Park, etc.) is that they don't really give opportunities to newer band. Like, instead of booking Voodoo Glow Skulls why not throw on one of the handful of ska-punk bands getting a bunch of buzz? Instead of booking H2O, why not give that slot to an up-and-coming hardcore band with a bunch of buzz?

Camp Anarchy did that a bit with the opening slots, but I think there's room for it to be done more.

Pretty sure it's the same set up as Govball.
Maybe I'm not as into hip hop as I thought I was, but the lineup doesnt seem that impressive to me. First off, 50 Cent doesnt really seem like a headliner in 2021. Could've sworn his last headlining show in nyc was at Webster Hall. I also saw him play Citi Field in 2015 when the Mets were doing that game/concert series, and it didnt feel like that many people stuck around for it lol.
J Cole and Travis are strong headliners, and the top 5 for each day are pretty good, but I dont recognize anyone after the first line. Think this would've looked stronger as a 2 day fest.

I wouldn't say it looks tossed together so much as like they have another band or two to add and just wanted to paste the logos in at a later date rather than re-do the whole thing. Hah.
