on the topic of acts in venues too big for them -- are The Wallflowers *really* an amphitheater act in 2021, and the type to visit multiple cities in the same region? Their big tour seems ... incredibly lofty

 

Unless they've announced another summer tour, their shed dates are opening for Matchbox Twenty and have been pushed to 2022.

Someone in the comments section of that Insta post noted that all 4 of these bands mentioned are all signed to Rise. So I think it’s been nailed

 

A follow-up, Andrew just announced Camp Wilderness, which is being done through Pillar as a $10/month $99/year community. It appears that these members will get first access to tickets, hence the Pillar Presale. Welp.

EDIT: No tour announcement yet, even though that presale begins tomorrow.

 

So probably AVA, AFI, with Spiritbox and Eidola on select dates? or AFI on select dates. I can't imagine all 4 bands on the bill, but maybe.

 

The only problem I see with AFI is that they aren’t announced for the NY or LA dates. I don’t think they’re a band that would just get added as support later.

 

True. Unless those 2 dates already announced are warmup one-off shows and not part of the actual tour.

 

Is there dates if you subscribe? I can’t imagine you wouldn’t know if you’ll have a date until the day they go on sale

 

Love seeing the flood of yours being announced...but it seems really weird that so many tours are completely skipping Buffalo/Rochester...gives me the feeling some of our venues might not be reopening post covid.

 

AFI does seem kinda surprising to me, unlessthe tour is hitting much larger venues than usual, I thought AFI was too big to be an “opener” for AVA

 

I signed up and me and a few friends are kind of "splitting" a month for now. Nothing on there at all regarding a tour. Just some introductory stuff, videos, songs, merch.

 

Possibly 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. announce today.

 

Wym? Town Ballroom, Rec Room, Mohawk Place, Anthology, Montage, Riverworks all have a decent amount of shows

 

Hey! I have some very “close contacts” with Water Street in Roch. I can tell you that there will be music 4 nights / week in the small room and Friday / Saturday reserved for touring acts in the main hall. Shows in the small room will begin in August and announced soon. They’re also starting to book national acts for the fall and into the winter. Soon, my friend!

I'm gonna have to stop buying tickets in advance unless it's something I just can't miss. So many shows are getting announced now that there are times where there are 2 or 3 shows I'm interested in, happening on the same day.

I'd say that AVA and AFI are the same sized draw, so if they were to tour together it would be a co-headliner. And seems weird to announce a co headliner long after the LA and NYC shows were already announced and put on sale. So if AFI is involved with this at all I dont see it happening for those two shows.

They may be gearing up to announce an AVA/AFI 2022 tour, though. OR the A__ is simply "AVA" haha

 

Pretty sure the A_ _ is just AVA.

Weird, I was just thinking I wish OK had some sort of music festival like everyone else. This... is gonna be a hard pass for me.
