Y’all better be ready to throw hands if it comes down to it.

 

I doubt anything would happen

 

Surely I am too optimistic but I hate resorting to the doomsday talk you guys love to throw out there, so I'm just gonna say it that I have a hard time believing Murkowski, Romney, Collins, and Sasse would accept overturning the election in the name of fraud that doesn't exist (especially if it was for Trump), and I doubt GOP will have gotten big enough gains in the senate to overcome those senators.

Sorry for trying to be reasonable you can go back to the doomsday now

 

I’m sure there’s a reasonable non-doomsday scenario but it’s definitely not that Romney and Collins will save us

 

I don't know which seats are up off the top of my head, but it's certainly reasonable to believe that the Republicans gain 4 seats in the Senate between now and 2024. Especially if the Dems just sit on their hands and do nothing for the next year and a half, which is still probably the most likely scenario. I'm not saying that it's likely that the 2024 election will be overturned or decertified but it's certainly a very realistic possibility.

Also, I would say you have way too much faith in that quartet of senators, but that's mostly because Collins has violated our faith in her as the "reasonable" Republican a few too many times

 

I have a hard time taking any 2024 prediction seriously when we aren’t even halfway through 2021, doomsday or not

 

Hard to envision a national strike when close to 50% or whatever would be not only fine with the outcome but actively trying to make it happen.

 

I mean at some point y'all will have to hold the people accountable that at best let this happen, and at worst actively abetted the rise of fascism in the US. And yes, I am implying Sinema and Manchin.

 

25% percent, but still. 50% of the country does not vote.

 

Yeah, if the moderate Dems won’t step up to save democracy, I’m sure the moderate Republicans will.

Picked up dinner from a tavern and saw on the wall the usual sign about the birthdate which you can be served and it said “this date the year 2000”
