So, a few years ago, after Netanyahu got elected the second time (I might be wrong on the exact timeframe), he pushed a law that states that the PM can be elected for a 3rd time (as opposed to the way it is on in the US). This law eventually passed and he it all went to shit from there.

There is no way in hell that Bennet's coalition is going to hold overtime so the play they are working on is getting started and right off the jump restoring the older law limiting the PM from running for the 3rd time and along with that another law that will prevent a person that is under criminal investigation from running for PM.

It's totally insane since in the last election (the 4th one in 2 years) Bennet received only about 6% of the total votes and now he gets to be the PM.

The good news is that he will at least be surrounded with people who will balance him a bit. Lapid's (the person who actually was supposed to be the PM and gave it Bennet) father was a very liberal politician back in the day and he himself is more grounded than most politicians.

I don't expect it to change the policy of dealing with Gaza in any way but at least it's a HUGE step in the right direction (It's well speculated that Netanyahu ignited the area a few weeks ago when he saw he was about to get kicked out of his throne).

 

Hell, what happened to Biden saying he supported reform? Requiring the physical filibuster? I guess word from the top shut that down huh

Yeah everything I've seen and know about this situation makes me believe he's just being the fall guy because it won't hurt him politically. If he was a single holdout it'd be easier to get him on board, he represents a wing of the party that doesn't want these things to change and doesn't really care if anything gets passed. A wing that Biden belongs to as well based on how little he's pushing on paths that could actually pass legislation.

So its the same song and dance, Dems do nothing, get crushed in the midterms, and we have fascism in four years no matter what.

Honestly, there isn't going to be a need for another January 6th. Based on all the new laws being passed in battleground states, the election will just be overturned at the state level before it even gets to Congress.

For me it was those and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade; it's my most watched movie of all time

 

They just don't make good spectacle movies anymore. Marvel doesn't count.

 

VHS's that I watched regularly were definitely....

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas
2. Drop Dead Fred
3. Weekend At Bernie's

I assume I owned Jurassic Park too but I can't remember. And also watched the TMNT movies a lot. Even the 3rd!

All the other ones I think I just watched on TV all the time lol, including those 3 on your list. I was afraid of tornados but loved weather/wanted to be a meteorologist when I was younger, so Twister was great.

My brother spent one entire summer watching Angels in the outfield and then one summer watching space jam.

My parents bought me Wayne’s World on VHS when I was like 9, watched it all the time and the sexual innuendo jokes flew over my head

 

That was me with Friends haha. Rewatching now, I can totally understand why my grandfather asked "your parents let you watch this!?" when he came over to babysit

 

ID4, Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, and Real Genius are the four I remember watching more than any other as a kid.

TMNT was probably up there too. And the OG Batman.

 

Straight up never heard of Real Genius before.

 

For VHS tapes I think I mainly watched

1. Batman & Robin (the Arnold Schwarzenegger one)
2. Little Nemo
3. The Rugrats Movie
