I can't quite decide if this is absolutely glorious or absolutely awful. But it surely gave me an earworm.

Never thought Conte would sign here. Genuinely shocked. Will be interesting to see unfold. He’s gone within a year if Levy breaks promises probably

This is an excellent Twitter thread about Brentford's owner, Mathew Bentham.

Conte is top 3 in the world imo, think he may win a trophy (one of the cups) in his first year at Spurs if he joins. His 3-1-4-2 with Kane & Son up front would be ideal if he can buy some new wingbacks.

A random thought cropped up. Nicolas Anelka must have played the strangest list of teams over his career

Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, Man City, Fenerbache, Bolton, Chelsea, Shanghai, Juventus, West Brom, Mumbai

Can anyone think of anyone else who matches that list?

  10. I think we’re probably good at LWB. Reguilon finished the year in poor form but he’s a good player. Sessegnon is coming back from loan and would be the backup LWB unless we loan him again (I hope not). The right side is rough though. We’re linked to Max Aarons (again) but I don’t know if he’s enough.

Zlatan's list, kinda: Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG, United, LA Galaxy, Milan

or maybe Bojan Krkic: Barcelona, Roma, AC Milan, Ajax, Stoke, Mainz, Alaves, Montreal

The more I think of Nuno, the more I think he could do a sustainable job for Everton. I know the football won't be the most entertaining but Wolves did well in their first year in the Premier League. I'm pretty sure they were more easy on the eye when Jimenez was fit, too. If he could bring Neves and Neto with him, I'd be down for that as well, particularly Neto who I see as a player with a very high ceiling. Every time I watch him he looks like a young Ronaldo.

You've got to think Spurs would need at least 2, maybe 3, new CBs when they switch to 3ATB?

Doherty being a natural WB rather than FB is probably helpful though

Doherty getting a go at Spurs in his Wolves position would be oddly satisfying as a neutral.

  15. Hoping we go back for Skriniar

  16. Joachim Anderson is heavily linked and we tried getting Skriniar the last 2 windows (and now we have his manager). We might still need a third guy but bringing in those two would be an upgrade.

I know it's not super exciting with all of the moves being made as of late, but the USMNT match tonight might be slightly telling of their preparedness for the gold cup later this summer. Anyone putting any weight on the result, win or lose? Can't decide how much I should care either way.

I think it's also difficult to tell since Zack and Christian won't have had the full camp with the rest of the guys. I do think a loss is unacceptable, but I also wouldn't be surprised by one.

If this line-up can't win the Gold Cup, it'll be because of youth and/or coaching more than anything:

    Pulisic - Sargeant - Reyna
    Dest - Adams - McKennie - Yedlin
    Miazga - Brooks - Ream
    Steffen

  20. If Levy is promising Conte that Kane won’t be sold then I’d actually believe it. He was already going to be very stubborn about it. Now there’s no way it happens unless someone severely overpays.

While not as expansive as Anelka's, Alessandro Del Piero went from Pardova to Juve to Sydney FC to Delhi Dynamos.

Don't know if Freddy Adu would count, but his is:

DC to Salt Lake to Benfica (with loans to Monaco, Belenenese, Arsis and Caykur Rizespor) to Philadelphia to Bahia to Jagodina to KuPS to Tampa Bay to Vegas and then Osterlen.

looking back at Freddy Adu, that dude's been everywhere and couldn't really find his footing anywhere

I honestly forgot about both Reguilon and Doherty! They will be fine as starting WBs so I agree with others that CBs would be more important.

Did you listen to Grant Wahl’s podcast about Adu? Pretty interesting.

I have not, mostly because I don't like Grant Wahl

  25. I really think our poor CBs are holding back the entire team. They’ve been so bad. Upgrade there and implement Conte’s system and we’ll be better. But we are Spurs so who knows.
