After about a month off, my girl and I finished season 2 and are 2 episodes into 3.

I knew about Pussy’s death since that’s one of a few episodes I remember watching with my parents in my teens. Season 3 is off to a killer start and I’m obsessed with the Theme From Peter Gunn/Every Breath You Take mashup in the premiere. Episode 2 was so good but learning the circumstances behind it was sad.

 

Ohhhhhhh I hope Joey Pants get what’s coming to him. That shit was BRUTAL.

Yep. I truly felt disgusted that entire episode.

 

I think when that episode first aired a good chunk of subscribers cancelled their HBO subscription. It was shocking then and its shocking now, but it's also one of the series best episodes

 

“Pine Barrens” is so good. I want more Paulie A stories.

 

Sirico ends up showing a lot of range for someone who was mostly known for bit parts and whose biggest demand was that his character never become a rat.

 

Finished season 3 in 4 days. This show is getting better and better with each season.

 

The improvement in lighting and cinematography in season 4 is sorta jarring when binging the show. Looks a ton better though!

 

Season Four is when the show reaches another level. Such a great season.

 

The first two seasons seem so dated in context, like trapped in the 90s. The production certainly increases over the years.

 

We're on our first watch through and only have 3 episodes left. I'm scared.

 

Those episodes are insanely good

Just started season four. Heard the first three and last three seasons are like different shows so I’m excited to find out

 

Yes, but you can see a lot of the transition starting in season three. The death of Nancy Marchand and 9/11 really changed the tone of the show.

 

Finishing In Treatment today, then I'm starting on this. Stoked.

 

Definitely wouldn’t say they feel like different shows. It gets darker though, that’s for sure.
