I’m in Washington DC this weekend visiting my sister and we just went by the White House and all I wanted to do was go in there and yell at Biden about all the things he’s doing wrong or should be doing.

I met Obama a few years ago in the Oval Office cause my sister used to work for him at the White House and all I wanted to do when I met him was tell him everything he should be doing/is fucking up on but I didn’t have the guts to say anything bad so I doubt I would have the guts to say anything bad to Biden either haha.

Side note: If any of you ever get the chance to go inside the White House you should because it’s very cool (in post-pandemic times of course). Even if the commander in chief isn’t great the place itself is cool, or at least it was the times I visited.

 

I’ve seen more insane things on “highly rated” shows released this year to be honest.

Apparently right wing twitter is having a complete meltdown over Kamala Harris' twitter account tweeting "have a nice long weekend" because she didn't mention Memorial Day or whatever. Which, you know, is Monday, not today.

But Oh man...you really need to YouTube the Newsroom Bin Laden scene. Instant classic.

 

The Newsroom is supposed to be a hyper-idealized version of what the news SHOULD be, not what it is. The entire show serves as a critique of corporate media, because the unspoken argument is that the real life networks actually failed, where this fictional network succeeds.

4 of the main news personalities/producers are stuck on a plane that's landed but can't make it to the gate, and they need to be at the station to break the news Bin Laden's dead.

So basically they whine so much that the pilot comes out, and right when they're about to yell at him for blowing the biggest news night ever, they see a badge indicating he's a veteran, and dramatically say they want him to be the first to know that Bin Laden has been killed, and dramatic music plays, blah blah blah.

 

Wasn't expecting this Bo Burnham special to be full on leftist. Nice
