Really bad lyrics can kill a song for me, but the vocal delivery and melody is far more important. You can have great lyrics but if they are delivered in a way that sucks, it doesn't matter.

 

Never heard of them. Eerily they both have exactly 1.436 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

 

Man y’all need to listen to Big Thief ASAP

Everything they put out is top quality

Tbf there’s only a handful of threads on here that I wouldn’t post that in

 

Big Thief slander, I keep meaning to unfollow this thread but these baffling takes on a weekly basis keep pulling me in

 

I agree with that take about them being the better band. The two records they put out in 2019 are fantastic, and Adrianne’s solo material is really good too.

It’s alright if you don’t like them but no way are they a snooze especially live.

A co-headliner would be cool though.

Plus how many bands can say they put out arguably their two best records in the same year

Not only did Big Thief release 2 albums better than anything most bands put out in the same year, Adrienne did the following year and Buck did this year lol. A truly unreal run of records
