it’s definitely dependent on what you’re using them for though. if you plan on using them for exercising at all, it’s no contest.

 

exercise for sure, I also just miss the old feel/sound of regular earbuds that have more of a seal vs. the more open design of regular airpods

 

yup powerbeats pro can't be beat. the case is too bulky and the charging and pairing can be fucked sometimes because the tiny pins that charge them are finicky, but def worth it.

Anybody using an external DAC with their phone or iPad they’d recommend?

 

I use a Dragonfly Black, you can spend more on the Red or Cobalt but the Black has been more than sufficient for me the last few years.

 

maybe not - Apple Music Lossless requires wired headphones, AirPods will only get Spatial Audio - 9to5Mac

looks like even wired Max’s don’t get Lossless

does anyone have or use the Beats Flex? I was thinking of getting a pair for running because the airpod pros tend to get slippery once i start working up a sweat and i find myself having to constantly tuck them back in, these seem like a decent cheap running earbud option.

The green and blue iMacs look gorgeous. I was going to spend some money to build my own PC, but I might toss it to one of those.

 

I read somewhere the HomePods don’t support this either. Seems kinda underwhelming. I get audiophiles probably have the very expensive equipment but this is a featured that none of Apple’s first party stuff actually supports.

 

well lossless will work on the iMac iPhone and iPad - it was never going to work with wireless headphones - it's not an apple thing

 

have they said a date yet other than "june"

 

this gd ipad pro won't be here until like early july
