My first thought haha. There are going to be plenty of pissed off Ederson owners today.

I've seen a team with Ederson and Steffen in. Make of that what you will

Even wilder to me that he's only 35. Genuinely thought he was like 42.

Yeah I saw it was his first PL start in a decade and then read he was 35. Couldn’t believe it.

Pep will do anything to avoid letting Ederson take a penalty.

    Including picking Scott Carson.

If they get a penalty, Ederson should run to the touch line and ask to be subbed on.

Sterling must have lost possession into double figures already.

Scott Carson lets his first goal in ten years in lol.

    hmmm

In my head he's actually younger, mainly because my primary memory of him as a Liverpool fan is him being thrown in to play against Juventus in the 2005 Champions League quarter final when he was just 19. I can't quite compute him being close to retirement.

That flick by Torres was fucking top tier. That is a ridiculous goal.

Bayern are so fucking hard to beat in FM. I’m managing Hertha now and after a tough start to the season we’re unbeaten since Christmas and have won every game since February and are still behind Bayern. Fucking hell.

Best thing I ever experienced in FM was in 17 where my own Hertha team became champions in the third season, whilst Bayern finished 1st-3rd-4th-13th-7th.

No idea what happened but that fourth season they were 17th at Christmas having lost Lewandowski and a load of other players. My closest rival was RB Leipzig whom the game game us a fierce rivalry after a few seasons.

I am still playing FM20 because I have a long save with Almeria and I am in 2026 (I think). I have finished second or third three straight seasons behind either Barca and/or Real. Real have won I think four straight La Liga titles and had something like 100 points and 105 goal differential this last season. I had a great season with 94 points and 71 GD but can not break through these two damn teams.

I’ve somehow gotten to the Champions League final beating Real and Liverpool in the quarters and semis. We’re onto the last game of the season. Bayern 3 points ahead of us, but we have a better goal difference. Hoping for a miracle.

I wheeled and dealed in the summer before the season and bought in a bunch of previous “wonder kids” who hadn’t hit the heights of their potential. Most have come good so I’m absolutely delighted.

Dream UCL scenario (as an American):

Steffen to start and Ederson as half time sub

Honestly don’t know why it’d be a bad idea since Pep already hates using 3 subs.

You should probably flip that, so that Steffen isn't injured going into the FIFA summer window.

Well I want Eddie to be there at the end in case of penalties. He should be the 5th kicker in that situation

This is a seriously impressive video. And way less sterile than you would expect, showing them drinking and celebrating after winning, etc.

I know Burnley have a reputation as a team anyway, but Tarkowski is a real piece of work isn't he? Dirty, dirty player. Already gotten away with kneeing Llorente in the back, now he's taking every opportunity to try and hurt Bamford.

Chris Wood too, always leaving a late one on whatever challenge he goes into.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Newcastle vs City is becoming a weirdly good fixture. By rights, we should be getting absolutely battered every time we play them, but we've had some crackers against them in the last 2 years. That Joelinton penalty strike was so satisfying too. I know the Torres goal is just gorgeous, but Joelinton absolutely hammering the ball in, perfectly inside the post, is very enjoyable.

Not really sure why there's any question of why it was a penalty though. The defender misses the ball entirely and slides under his standing leg, taking it away from him. Not really sure what the argument is for that not being a foul?
