Maybe just change "Descendents" to "Descendents/ALL."

I also think the Offspring and 311 might be in the mix too just based on playing at least one other festival hovering around that particular date. But those are low-medium probabilities.

I'd also put the Lawrence Arms in there just because of how likely it is (despite there being a lack of context clues beyond Beex saying they were meant to play in 2020). New album, friend of the festival who hasn't played in a few years, etc.

Are you talking about rise against? They will prolly also be on louder then life which is the weekend After riot fest they are also on aftershock and rebel rock. I’m guessing they will also play blue ridge rock fest or whatever it is called. 2nd leg will prolly come after all the fests and will do a bigger us run in November and December

Has anyone mentioned Hoobastank? They will be touring with Living Colour who are playing and they did a promotion with Riot Fest a few months back.

Yup! I knew they were on Rebel Rock, but had forgotten about Aftershock. I think what you're saying is spot-on about a second run of US dates coming. Though that may be in winter 2022 rather than November/December. But it would make sense to just do it then. Especially if they could start or cap the tour with a big hometown show.

Still. I'm hoping for a Riot Fest appearance of some sort!

I would add Every Time I Die and The Wonder Years as possible, I think both were confirmed for 2021.

    EDIT: Oh right! and Hoobastank

EDIT 2: Frank Turner is going to be in the US in September playing festivals

ETID had a gap in their 2020 tour that made it look like they'd be on Riot, if memory serves. I don't think the Wonder Years ever had anything so obvious come out.

But it definitely would have made sense for them to be on the line-up doing album plays given the tour(s) they had planned!

I mean they do have something planned for Chicago. Tim’s words from an interview. So my guess that means riot fest. I’m hoping we get a riot fest appearance and a after show at Aragon

I’m expecting Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.)

Do we think we get the full lineup for riot fest this week or next week?

They released a poster wither their 2020 cancelled tour and they had 2 Chicago dates during Riot weekend, so yeah, they were practically confirmed for it. You're right about TWY too

i mentioned it recently, but someone i talked to seemed confident The Ghost Inside may be on the line up based on something the singer said during a live stream, so they are at least 'possible'

Unless something drastically changed, it's gonna be this week. The press release back in April said that the line-up would be coming during the "first half of May," which would give them until this week.

Again, things may have changed but that was what they told us in April. The other indicator, I think, is the slowdown of social media postings the last few days. They usually slow it down to 1-2 posts/day when the line-up is imminent.

Also I just noticed something about that rise against tour. No dates anywhere near where dwp has festivals. That has prolly something to do with it

Ironically, they do the same thing whenever the future of the festival is in peril

Well, to be honest, when that's going down there's also a tendency to post nonsense and get snippy with people harassing them on Twitter.

But hey. Thanks for hashing my buzz for today! Haha. :crylaugh: JK.

I hope they just randomly drop it this week out of nowhere. No announcement no nothing just tweet out and be like “here bitches have fun with this and complain about who we booked or didn’t book this year”

The only year they've done that, if memory serves, was back in 2017. Every other year they've given us at least a day's warning. But 2021 is such an odd year, so there's no real telling when they'll do anything.

Truth be told, I'm hoping for something at or before 4 o'clock today. Even though most line-up related stuff tends to drop before 12pm CST.

I mean one year the dropped it at like 8 pm. I was at a hawks game when it came out

That might have been 2014. I remember it too.

Y'know, I forgot about that. I was at a New Found Glory show. That was 2018. But that was a weird as fuck year too and I think they hit a "we just need to get it out ASAP" point.

And there was that one year (2014 or 2015) where they announced like, 10 artist every hour over the course of the evening. That was intense.

So I should rectify that. It's usually earlier in the day.

i would low-key love if they did the Blue Ridge model some year of releasing a few bands every day, maybe not for as long as they are dragging it out. really keeps up engagement and it sort of makes the line up feel bigger than it is (at least thats what blue ridge is pulling off, haha) and gives each artist a bit of a moment to shine

I feel like their announcements of an announcement have come in the afternoon before. I think that the Misfits teaser did anyway.

That's a fun way to release stuff. Especially for artists with a long history, or have ties to the rest of the line-up that are worth noting. It's a cool way to highlight specific acts.

Especially with a festival like Riot Fest where the line-up tends to be super dense from top to bottom with cool/random gets that deserve to be highlighted but tend to get lost in the shuffle just because they aren't the biggest of deals (see also: Cobra Skulls in 2018).

Great point. I'm starting to think my memory of shit is only allowing me to go back to 2018. Hah. Because I know that teaser dropped in the AM (which I keep thinking was the day before -- but no, it was the same day).

The Misfits teaser was definitely later in the afternoon too.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I was at a Menzingers show when the lineup dropped in 2018 and my friends and I spent the entire break chatting about it haha
