good stuff except I got a virus warning when I tried to download it lmao. only weezer

 

I read about the "Crazy Train" homage in "Blue Dream" but laughed out loud when I heard the riff note for note. Song fucks though

 

Hot take is that the delivery of "cold turkey" is more egregious that the "pump it up" part in "1 More Hit." Proud to say this one also fucks

 

First listen, I'm not sold on "Hero," "She Needs Me," or "All the Good Ones" (though I love that chorus), but I'm really pleasantly surprised with the rest. "Precious Metal Girl" is obviously great. Still not sure that this will crack my top 10 Weezer albums, but the potential is definitely there. Excited to listen again tomorrow.

as much as the lyrics to "1 More Hit" are absolute dogshit, it's one of like 3 tracks on here that sound like actual effort was put into their composition

that bridge riff into the key change rips

 

This record is just pure fun. Definitely top tier Weezer IMO. These songs will sound great live. Love the little nod to Crazy Train in Blue Dream.

It’s silly, their best record front to back since White....which is not a super high bar, but it’s a dumb fun record and it knows it. Still think the best songs on PD are better.

One listen through. Very pleasantly surprised. Really like it.

 

Both records are good and hit different moods for me so I’m glad both exist

 

In some ways this is less embarrassing than OKH
