i’ve been working on ranking every song in the discography haha

 

I've listened to this a few times now and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It took me a while to really get into Black Mile. This one has been a little more immediately accessible for me, but I wonder if it'll have the same staying power. The stretch from Keel Timing through Annie is fantastic. Dinosaur is another standout for sure.

 

I'm kind of surprised people seem to hate the lyrics for Inaudbile. Sure, they're not all that noteworthy, but they're not all that out of the ordinary for Andy either. Honestly not that different from "I bet you did what you did when you did just to tell every friend that you had that the lord did it".

If you don't have In My Teeth as the worst song on METN, then I just don't know what to tell you. Not that it's terrible, it's just kind of there.

but the bottom three would include the two singles

My Friend Marcus is my least favorite song on an album that sits in my top 5 of all time, which is to say I just simply don’t like it as much as all the other all-timers in the tracklist.

 

metn isnt my favorite but this conversation really is helping me appreciate how consistent that album is

My shipment left Fox Valley purgatory as well. Now here's to hoping it arrives before I leave town for two weeks next Tuesday.
