I just saw someone post in a vinyl FB group that they have had a package in Fox Valley for a different record since April 16th. So... if that’s true we may need to strap in.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

My Pops worked for USPS for almost 30 years, and it’s never gone through what it’s had to endure the last five to ten years, and especially not the last two.

So, as much as I care, I don’t.

But it’s fair to say, this is the only ‘long-term’ delay I’ve experienced in this crazy time.

They could update tomorrow, and we’d all be straight a few days after. A week late, eh.

i think the 45 day warning is what’s scaring folks though.

I don't think anyone is making an overall statement on the USPS. It's just kind of funny that a few users on here are all sharing the same experience with one post office in Illinois to that point that it's turned into a running, stupid joke. Plenty of other people have received their packages, vinyl just fine already from different post offices across the country. Yeah, we're bummed that we haven't received it yet (especially considering most of us got the shipping notification 9-10 days ago) but in the grand scheme of things, it's not the biggest deal in the world.

“we’ll get it eventually” is the only thing that should be said really. it’s vinyl. it’s fine. getting all mad about usps after everything they’ve had to endure because your record might take an extra month is the dumbest shit.

  6. especially in my case when I truly have like a thousand records haha

if I need it that badly I'll go get one at the local shop for the time being

right. if it’s just a love of vinyl, most people probably have other records they can throw on. if it’s just wanting to listen to MMOG, you can stream it for a month before the album arrives. i promise it’ll be okay in the end.

I don’t trust anyone that doesn’t like Telepath. What a lovely song.

    Today, "Annie" finally hit me.

I walked my dog last night at 10 p.m. in the 55-degree misty rain and listened to Annie through The Internet and it was a WILD experience.

I mean, I'm joking about the Fox Valley stuff and being mad about vinyl and a paperback book - but there are people who rely on USPS for important things, like medications. I am legitimately angry, just not *AT* the United States Postal Service. I'm angry at the motherfucker who purposely ruined them because he thought it would help him win reelection. Also that DeJoy guy because fuck him too. Just being someone else's lackey doesn't excuse or absolve you of blame for the shit that you do.

    Wrong thread, I know.

I will say though, the longer it takes - the hotter it gets.

I’m in Arizona, vinyl tortillas here pretty regularly. Tryna beat the heat.

i get all this. just seems like all the memes and complaining are “my shipment is taking so long!” and “smh cmon usps”

    misplaced anger imo

I still have faith that somehow, in the godforsaken stretch of hell we used to call a country, somewhere between Benton Harbor, Michigan and Upton, Massachusetts, this guy is on a donkey with my book -->

My top three are Annie, Dinosaur, Obstacle, but Way Back is a very close 4th. Can't listen to Obstacle without Way Back and vice versa. Also, Andy's delivery of "I've been trying to replicate the mask of god" on Annie is my favorite moment on the album. It's been stuck in my head since last Thursday night.

I have been listening to this regularly since it came out.

Bed Head, Let It Storm, and Dinosaur are songs that really stand out to me on each listen. I think the only song that doesn't really do much for me is Inaudible. Which is kinda annoying because I really value a solid opening track.

Inaudible is going to be such a good live opener, regardless of dumb lyrics

Inaudible is a beast. I love it.

I still think this is an extremely awesome album all the way through, but as I listen more and more I honestly love the first half of this more and more. The stretch of Inaudible through Annie may be my favorite thing they have ever done. I still need some more time with it to know for sure though. The back half is really cool and has a neat sound to it but that's pretty much how I felt on first listen and that's still where I'm at.
