I think the bridge of "Last Kiss" has become my favorite moment in her catalog

or as I like to think about it, "All Too Well" part 1 (even though they're not about the same person)

 

And it came out first... Haha

 

That's up there for me, too. Either that or "All Too Well" is my favorite Taylor song and I can't really pick.

 

My fave part of Taylor songs is when she just sounds defeated and sad, which sounds horrible lol. She emotes at just the right times to give a punch to the gut. Sad Beautiful Tragic seems to have mixed reception but the lost and defeated way she sings it reminds me of how I've felt in the past and she delivers all the feelings there. Same with Last Kiss when she sings "The life of they party, you're showing off again" she sounds so bittersweet and I'm like nooooo

 

"Sad, Beautiful, Tragic" has gotta be the most underrated Taylor Swift song.

 

I love 1989 but Red is really her best album. There is some filler on there but cut it to 11 or 12 songs and it is perfect. Treacherous, All Too Well, and Sad Beautiful Teagic are some of her best songs. There is nothing better than a Taylor Swift bridge.

 

Well I mean the shuddering cry-breath on "Last Kiss" alone...

 

I like that part but I'm also a one track mind so I can never focus on anything else but her breathing. But if I didn't have a one track mind I'd prob love it more!! I accidentally tune out the rest of the song cause it makes me anxious thinking of when she'll loudly take the next breath haha

Haha I never caught it until I was listening with someone else who was like "Stop geeking about the bridge and LISTEN". Haha

 

Red is still my favorite album of hers too. "All Too Well" STILL kills me each time I listen to it. Brilliant song.

 

"All Too Well" is a masterpiece and Red belongs in the MOMA.

Also, I covered "Sad Beautiful Tragic" during an acoustic set for my band earlier this year and it distressed an entire coffee house. Which is a testament to how powerful that song is.

 

I haaate "Sad Beautiful Tragic". Well maybe not hate but I don't like it.

 

Boo, I don't like this opinion.

 

I'll take Bad Blood over that song.

 

Or the one with the guy from Snow Patrol.

Bad Blood is probably in my top 3 tracks on 1989. I like her as a full-out big pop musician wayyyyyyy more than any of her other styles.

 

It's ok I'm the only one in the world who hates Mean. One of her worst songs like I swear the version on my cd must be different than everyone else's lol. AND ALL YOURE EVER GONNA BE IS MEAN! Legit sounds like preschool arguments I've broken up in the past.

 

CRJ's Emotion album made me forget about 1989

 

"Bad Blood" remains a song I hate.

 

That's why its so good.

 

Still my fave thing she's done but her debut is my favorite and that's not a popular opinion so..haha
