It’s like this nationwide it seems, the restaurant I work at (Cheesecake Factory) can’t get any servers or bussers. Servers average like $150 a shift in tips and bussers around $80-90 and still there’s no one applying. Our entire staff is getting burnt out worked 40hrs a week serving, it’s exhausting with all the covid protocols and dealing with customers bullshit.

 

Do they offer health insurance?

 

If you maintain 30hrs a week they offer insurance, I’ve been part time for the last 6-7yrs.

Interested to hear how you come out of it...one minute I felt like absolute shit and then suddenly it was like I was 90% fine, like light switch flipping level change.

 

I left a restaurant recently. I needed to get out of the business and do something different. I was a server and honestly working during the pandemic and dealing with people not taking it seriously is what burnt me out. I just hated defining my worth based on what someone tipped me. You’d figure people would be more generous, but nope. Just bigger assholes. Also restaurants down here (I’m in Florida) don’t pay enough. If you don’t pay the wages for the workers you want, you’re going to get the workers you deserve. Restaurants feel like slave labor to me.

 

My fiancé recently got containers and did this kind of organization for our kitchen. She may have seen this TikTok and got inspired. Our fridge is all organized now too. I can’t fit any leftovers in there anymore.

 

Just got called to get my second dose a day early because Walgreens in my deep MAGA hometown had extras. Was one person here when I arrived, now there’s six or seven waiting. Idk if people are becoming less reluctant or if the supply limitations are being overcome

Among the hundreds of Facebook posts NBC News reviewed from forums for current and former Rangers, Green Berets and other elite warriors: a member of a special forces group lamenting that several aides to former Vice President Mike Pence were part of a "Concerted effort by the thieves and pedophiles walking the hallowed halls of the peoples government" to undermine former President Donald Trump.

"In a just world, they would have already been taken out behind the court house and shot," another member commented.
