Its funny reading the tweet and thinking Pogba is going to go on an epic rant about. But it’s basically nothing. “Explosive” interview lmao

The fact the club themselves have escaped punishment for their part in this whole situation is mind boggling. They called him a liar and fanned the flames. They are just as to blame IMO.

  5. The last month Spurs have only played at times I can’t watch an entire match. And it continues today. It’s been a blessing.

MLS is back tonight, y'all. Got some interesting games going on this weekend.

  7. I need to try and pay more attention to mls this year since I’m finally getting a team next year.

Speaking of which, the owner has really pissed off a section of season ticket holders for the Panthers because he wanted a tunnel at midfield for the MLS team lol

The small changes look good though. It’ll hold us over until the new stadium is built in a few years.

  8. I mean, we don’t “need” a new stadium. But we have a new mega billionaire owner who wants a shiny new toy. The exciting part is that he is apparently hiring the same design/architect firm that did the Tottenham stadium. So it should be awesome.

Insane thread. This is right around when I truly became a Barcelona fan (having visited the city less than a month before this and watching the Catalan derby on La Rambla).

Did a fan really run on to the pitch and hit Ronaldo with a scarf? I must have missed that.

    hmmm

El Clasico genuinely felt like an unmissable event then. Guardiola was in his element even if that press conference before the first leg of the semi-final was very out of the ordinary for him.

I think Mourinho played it badly, on and off the pitch and did an injustice to his own team by trying to create such a hostile atmosphere. I primarily still remember those games from tactical perspective and the way Mourinho went back and forth game after game trying to find solutions, even reverting back to ideas that he'd already canned because they'd failed. It wasn't really until Guardiola's last El Clasico at the end of the following season that he found a setup that really hurt Barca.

This was also when Modric came in, yeah? He's pretty much the lynchpin for everything Madrid did in the last decade more than any other player, I'd argue.

It was just before Modric came in actually. But you're right. Especially once Ancelotti came in and they started using the midfield for more than just athleticism and Alonso's long passing. Before then, those games against Barca often turned into a battle of technicality vs physicality.

You really should! I think it will definitely help to have a better lay of the land going into next season. I did this with Orlando and having familiarity with the competition made each match a little more enjoyable.

  24. I feel like I gave Jose a fair chance before I got my pitchfork out. It just blows my mind the people who still defend him and put it all on the players. Some of it does go on them, sure, but Jose is clearly not helping in any way.

It was clear the room needed a refresh and rebuild of players when Poch was here. That didn’t happen. They then hired a highly volatile manager, didn’t move really any players out, and expected us to somehow contend for top 4. Jose made the mood and environment worse. Can’t wait until we sack him and still don’t sell any of the same players that have been a problem for two managers
