I bought 6,000 coins when it was around $0.04. I'm new to crypto and stock trading, and all my friends told me to sell when it was at 0.10 a couple months ago. Now they all wish they hadn't sold theirs

 

My wife has been holding since .5

she’s made quite a bit. I’m very jealous

 

Every time i look and see it spiking up I do the Gorillaz “here we go!” From 19-2000 in my head lol

Don't have nearly as many shares as I did 2 months ago though. Damn it.

I mean good for you guys, but there’s really nothing going for Dodge long-term. Get out when you can and roll the funds into a more viable stock-based funding basis or crypto

and please please consider the tax implications

 

What are the tax implications? are they any different than any other cap gains, where I'd have to sock a thrid of it or so away just for tax paying purposes when the time comes?

 

Also I'm just accepting that we live in the dumbest society and this thing being so widely available on new apps and stuff now means it's gonna get traction and be a true meme stock crypto that could blow up simply because the internet makes it happen

 

Agreed, we live in an immoral, stupid society [inser joker meme here] so I’m going to try to get to a comfortable position because of it and am sort of considering taking my $ out of crypto until this WSB stuff blows over.

but essentially, yes. I’ve given inaccurate advice before so take me with a grain of salt, but it’s treated similarly to capital gains, if you hold the funds for less than a year, 35-ish%. I don’t see dodge holding value beyond a year

but also, like, what is the purpose of the coin? It doesn’t solve a financial issue, is constantly inflationary, and doesn’t have use as a store of value or functional currency
