  1. The end of Made For Love was heartbreaking. I hope it gets another season.

  2. Oh it's finished? Releasing 2-3 eps a week is so awkward. I guess I'm glad I don't have to wait for the rest of them

Gonna check this out tonight. Living in Baltimore, I feel obligated. Also, Baltimore club music slaps.

    Always baby! Temptation is great.

how many made for loves are there?

so pumped on the circle - but not as big of a fan of this cast.

Also I felt that raised by peaked at episode one lol

  6. On episode 3 of Them and definitely know what’s coming that has people in here rattled up. Not sure if I’m ready for it.

Liking it so far otherwise, only complaint is it has a lot of those really awkward shots where someone’s face is super up close and someone is behind them but for some reason both are in focus. The movie Us had a real bad one of those, as if I wasn’t already associating this show with that movie enough haha

Alison Pill is the definition of an actor that plays her creepy roles so well that I have trouble separating the fictional characters from Alison Pill the human

There’s absolutely nothing to like about this series after the third episode.

It was pretty difficult for me to find much good in the first three, tbh.

  8. The first three have been a little tough, sure. I think there are parts enough removed from reality that make it a little easier to remind myself that this is fiction at least. I do like this portrayal of Henry’s PTSD so far, and seeing him give a verbal middle finger to some white people on occasion makes me smile. Rarely don’t finish shows, but if this gets too bad I’ll probably stop if you really don’t think it gets better

  9. I mean, episode 5 started out fine. The rigged housing system/redlining is not exactly news, but I haven’t really seen it portrayed in a show in this way so that’s cool. Also, seeing the ”good” cop be exposed for actually being a conniving racist asshole was nice bc I was pretty afraid the show was gonna do the “one good cop” bit the whole time and that’s just not what you want

And then of course the back half was excessive and pretty fucking tasteless. I’m gonna cautiously press on, but my faith in this show tactfully handling its subject matter in the long run took a sharp decline after that.

  13. I didn't really like the first few episodes of Made for Love, but the back half is pretty solid. Season finale opens up a lot that could be explored later on if it gets the chance, I'm just not as emotionally invested as I would like. Wouldn't mind a second season, but if it ends here I'd be fine with that, too.

I put on Forgetting Sarah Marshall for the first time in forever and it’s still one of my favorites.

Made for Love definitely picks up in the second half of the season. That ending made me so sad. Really hope it gets renewed!
If anyone's read the book, was the show true to the source material, and is that how the book ends too?

On a similar note: Rewatching “Freaks and Geeks,” I really, really wish Jason Segel was in more comedies. He’s such a charming, funny actor. But I feel like he’s kind of done with comedies and the whole Apatow gang altogether.
