    I do not exist.

I just need this whole release.

Is it coming out any time soon? Two EPs right?

I'm just waiting until both are out and listening as an album. Excited to spend some time with them.

Just listened to the Ixora albums synced for the first time in a while. The official release is definitely my favorite album of theirs, and I'd probably put Twin like 3rd or 4th behind BMT or YAMS. Means a lot to me, album came out at the start of my marriage and big move to another state, kind of nostalgic now.

Ixora > Beneath Medicine Tree > You Are My Sunshine > Twin > Blushing > In Motion > Eat, Sleep, Repeat

And I don't hate Eat, Sleep, Repeat at all. In Motion has some of my favorite Copeland songs. Pretty good band

I have a weird ranking. I don't dislike any of their albums, but I don't really listen to Ixora or Blushing too much. I think they're great albums but they're way too mood-oriented for me to throw them on casually. I like In Motion too, but definitely their weakest record.

You Are My Sunshine = Eat, Sleep, Repeat > Beneath Medicine Tree > Blushing > Ixora > In Motion

One of the most consistently fantastic discographies out there.

I never got into BMI. I feel like it must have had an impact when came out, but it sounds so dated now.

Also kinda surprised by the lack of Ixora love. That record somehow managed to feel like both a celebration of all the band’s previous sounds and a push forward at the same time.

Ultimately, I think I’d put YAMS and Ixora at the top. I think YAMS might have higher highs, but has a little bit of a slump towards the end with “Not allowed”, “Strange and Unprepared” and even “Safest Ledge” to a lesser extent (though I feel that last one might be a fairly controversial opinion around here).

I think Blushing and ESR are competing for the next 2. Then IM and, lastly, BMI.

Also, just checked out the Glaswing EP last week and I’ve been digging it a lot. Reminds me vaguely of The Japanese House. Really great production and merging of Copelands sounds with some more hip-hop/chill-hop production. Some really cool sounds going on here.

Thats probably my favourite three song run on the album.

    Eat, Sleep, Repeat
    Ixora
    You Are My Sunshine
    In Motion
    Blushing
    Beneath Medicine Tree

    Probably for me.

Love that three song sequence as well. I honestly can’t listen to Safest Ledge without listening to the rest of the album

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

"Strange and Unprepared" is legit one of the saddest and most beautiful songs I know

    just one of those ghosts

Just listened to You Are My Sunshine yesterday, it's actually one of those albums that feels like it hasn't aged almost at all. It's just absolute magic to me. Easily my favorite.

    You Are My Sunshine
    Ixora
    In Motion
    Eat, Sleep, Repeat
    Blushing
    Beneath Medicine Tree

I completely agree. Swap In Motion and Blushing, and that's my ranking, but I adore them all.

They're really good at creating unique vibes on their albums, I wish more stuff sounded like YAMS or ESR or Ixora.

Weird rankings guys, I mean, I can't do it for this band as it seems. I might definitely put BMT last, but it's still a great album - though not something that I'd recommend to new listeners, more of a nostalgia factor there.

BMT has some incredible songs on it, I think its just the least consistent/interesting of a fantastic bunch.

I feel that way about In Motion, re: consistency.

I definitely get the nostalgia thing for BMT. Part of the reason I love it is because it feels ripped out of that era. But I also think it's aged pretty well. If a newer emo band dropped an album like that nowadays, I'd probably fall in love with it. There's something about the confessional wholesome lyrics and Aaron's voice and harmonies, along with the guitar tones, that I absolutely adore. Also "Coffee" will always be one of my favorite songs by them.

Yeah I think I'd love it too, but I'd recognize that only/mostly for the association to the music I lived with back then as well. I'd definitely tend more to recommend Ixora/Blushing to whatever new listeners. But there would be zero shame for me to smash it loud in my car again hahh - it has aged well enough!

I’ve always said that I think their albums get better as they go. And I stand by that but also YAMS is my favorite.

    Does that make sense?
