    I wish they would give more campy horror classics this kind of tonal reinvention. I never loved Bruce Campbell's evil dead series film or tv personally but the 2013 works so well for me it's great

    There’s so much opportunity there. I’d love to see a remake of The Stuff.

    I was 8 when TBWP came out, and my mother and 6 year older sister took me to the drive-in to see it with them. My mom had no quarrels with me watching horror movies at a young age, so many of them petrified me. This was no exception. I remember for at least a few years after I would go to the mall and want to go in hot topic (lol) and they were selling “missing” posters for the 3 actors, as well as a bunch of other viral marketing stuff. 100% convinced me it was real until I was at least 15.

    Having grown up not far from Poughkeepsie I was really intrigued by the movie at first, but upon watching it, was disappointed. Truly the only thing that is connected to the true story of the Poughkeepsie murderer is the location.

    I don’t think I can make it through this. I expected it to be way more fun, but it’s taking itself pretty seriously.

  7. Speaking of found footage films, not enough people know about Afflicted and that makes me sad

    Just read this and it’s far more unsettling and exciting than the abomination of a film I just completed.

    I haven’t seen but that trailer actually made recliners creepy to me. I’m gonna see eyes in recliners for the rest of my days.

    Annoyed at that lady on twitter who said Alien isn’t horror because it takes place in space.

    I didn't read into it but if her basic premise is simply that "it can't be horror because it's in space" then uh what haha how is that logical at all

    I really can’t think of anything more frightening than slipping away into space. Like, do you choose to just spin off in your suit until you die of dehydration/starvation or do you take your helmet off? Morbid for a Wednesday morning.

    her reasoning is that because it's in space, it's sci-fi and not horror. which is dumb. things can be multiple things.

    By this logic, sci-fi films can't exist on earth, I'm assuming.

    She doubled down by saying that horror is "fear of the unknown" or something like that, but because we don't know anything about space we cant...I don't know

    Space = unknown

    Horror = fearing the unknown

    Space =/= Horror cuz we can't fear the unknown that we don't know about, rendering it an unknown unknown

    Ow. It's very dumb lol
