I guess I'm finally going to have to watch some Cronenberg. I always avoid the body horror stuff so I can't say I'm stoked, but we'll see, it's probably not as bad as I've built it up in my head.

 

It’s not a huge bar but it seems like it’s been pretty popular since it’s brand new.

 

Yeah that’s a cool concept for a bar. I’d be there a few days a week.

haven’t kept up with gourley and rust, but love all the movies I’ve seen from that list

 

I've seen half of them but I'm excited to watch along. Cronenberg is the GOAT

 

I hope body horror makes a true comeback, especially in the wake of this pandemic.

Yeah I've been out of the loop on what the Gourley and Rust stuff is, but I feel that I must cave to peer pressure.

 

If you like goofy riffing by two fellas that love the genre, it's a really great listen. It also has THE BEST podcast theme song.

Yep. It's truly easy listening in the sense that those dudes have done like 3+ hour shows on a single movie, and a sequel nonetheless. I love it.

 

I haven't finished it yet but Eyes Without A Face is beautiful and elegant and quite disturbing. Much more effective than I anticipated for a movie that came out in 1960.

I watched Possum on Prime. Psychological Brit horror with some very creepy imagery and an ending didn't quite land for me.

 

Honestly Eyes Without A Face might be so haunting to me because Michael Myers scared me so much as a kid. Something about a pale, motion/emotionless face with moving, staring eyes really freaks me out.

 

Carpenter was influenced by this mask he says, so that makes sense. Very striking similarities. I finished this yesterday and I can't speak highly enough of it.

 

So it's Bad Hair, but for white people.

 

Gonna watch it tonight. Bad Hair is still on my list, the middling reviews have kept me from it but I feel like it would be fun to watch with people.

 

Bad Hair wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be, but it wasn't bad.

 

Dropped $20 on a Dawn of the Dead (2004)/Land of the Dead and a Tremors four=pack last night. Lots of good stuff to watch this weekend (including Slaxx)
