Besides everything said so far, which I mostly agree with, I think a director's cut is cool when it's a long ass version to give fans a deeper dive. I wish the director did a better job, but it's nice to have more time with each scene and each character (even if slo mo, or tbh, in some scenes, pure cringe).
For example, I think the director's cut of BvS was a significant storytelling improvement. Everything made more sense and I actually found the movie to be OK.
That said, my dad joke to my friends is that with this length this is not a "cut", this is Zack Snider's the whole cow

Out of boredom I'm watching The Morning Show and he is by far the greatest character.

Still remember looking him up for voicing Ashitaka in the english version of Princess Mononoke

I liked when Superman shows up to fight Steppenwolf and the MoS score kicks in.

Steppenwolf showing up at Themyscira and fighting with the Amazons took a garbage sequence from the 2017 film and made it pretty fucking great here.

Age of Heroes flashback battle was pretty good too, although it needed to be shorter. It just went on too long. As others have said, an abbreviated version of this scene would have made for a good opening ala Fellowship of the Ring.

The aspect ratio didn't bother me at all, but I still think it was an extremely odd choice knowing that not a single fucking person is going to see this in Imax and everyone is watching it on their TVs phones and tablets. I'd have to go back and look with this in mind, but I don't remember a lot of the shots looking particularly well composed. I do have to admit that I am an absolute sucker for widescreen though, and that could very well be my biases against this aspect ratio peeking through.

I honestly love how long it takes for Batman to show up.

Also, part 3 was the first part that I felt the length, but most of the Cyborg stuff is good. Like that he kinda echoes Clark in Man of Steel in some ways.

words like “great” have no meaning anymore i guess

it was better than “pure uncut fucking dogshit.” it was still subpar at best.

I’ve found all the action so far pretty badass tbh, lol, oops. The score, too, including the Amazon/WW voices everyone seems to hate.

the action is the worst part of this so far. i’m like 1/3 in. with the steppenwolf vs. cyborg main fight.

just pure unintelligible bullshit. MCU is guilty of this too but it’s just cgi + slow mo dogshit. whedon was right to edit these scenes in half. he was just wrong about everything else

He’s mostly good at visual action. The score is fine but there’s no variation, it’s like every time an Amazonian shows up it’s the same music cue and it sucks.

A lot of characters in this movie have backstories and emotional conflicts in common, but are there literally any scenes where they talk about/bond over them? Do any of these people truly connect?

Wonder Woman’s first scene being in both cuts is funny because does it have literally anything to do with anything in the rest of the movie?
