How did a Wye Oak album from 2009 end up in the list for this week’s thread?

 

The debut Jane Inc album is seriously good. You think it's going to be quite disco-y but it gets more off-kilter; bass-heavy, fuzzy, textured, kind of angular occasionally, funky, lush, ethereal, raw. A cool live feel in the performances as well. Wish it was longer but that might be perfect for repeat listens.

 

Heavily excited for Middle Kids!

 

The new Glass House Point single (produced by Aaron Marsh of Copeland) is fantastic

And don’t sleep on new Foxhall either!

 

The new Morgan Wade album (produced by Sadler Vaden of Jason Isbell's 400 Unit) is probably my favorite album I've heard this year.

This Bicycle Inn album is a real jam. This is gonna get tons of playtime this summer. Loving this already, two listens in.

 

Bieber's Tiny Desk concert is really good

 

Haven't been a huge fan of that type of metalcore for a while now. They're a talented band, but it isn't for me.

Misery Signals is really the only band of that ilk that does it for me nowadays.
