Only if they're AAC. Mp4 isn't a format, but a container. Anyway I'm just surprised anyone loves mp4, most of the audio community is FLAC for lossless and mp3 for ease and compatibility without major loss.

  4. Yeah, my iTunes library is in AAC - FLAC wasn’t compatible with my MacBook and WAV takes up a lot of space. I’m thinking about converting to WAV and using an external hard drive, like my dad does, now that I’m using a Windows laptop!

  9. I’m so happy that Nina finally got to write about METN! I remember her tweeting the idea a while ago

Poor baby, you're starting to lose it.

I picked up the METN 10th anniversary vinyl 2 weeks ago. Sounds amazing and it was a strong reminder how much of a banger that album is as a whole.

I'm so bummed I had to cancel my order of this. Unemployment in a pandemic meant $40 for a record broke the bank.

Just a general summary of what feels like so many bands runs. And that includes bands I love. Just seems like the classic evolution process.

Debut albums: full of raw emotion, bands just trying to figure out who they are. very unapologetic and rough around the edges.

sophomore album: band trying to establish who they are, define their sound and line up, and make a better sounding record. Fueled by adrenaline, promise and potential.

3rd album: band tries to show they are more. Add some attention to production and maybe a few instruments. Trying to lock down your band roster and identity, act more mature and sophisticated because this could be your career. Have more say in your future.

4th album: react to album 3 response from fans, critics and sale numbers. Do we go back to bring in old sound elements as identifiers or push forward? Trying not to burn out and take a little more time. Feeling confident for new album release. Hold your breath.

5th album: either go back to what you used to do on the most successful early album or just go in a new direction and sound like a new band because we have changed or we have new bands members now and are more mature.

Album 6-whatever: Take anything that’s worked from previous experience and throw it in blender and see what comes out. Made it this far so see what happens.

If Neil Young hasn’t penetrated your music bubble yet, that’s an absolute tragedy.

I have sadly yet to be penetrated by Neil Young.
