The mainstreaming of anime continues

 

Read through all of Chainsaw Man. Really enjoyed it, despite deaths being really really confusing.

 

It's the future. I welcome our vtuber and anime overlords with open arms.

 

RahXephon is so fricking weird, I love it.

 

The premiere of Yuru Camp season 2 was awesome. This show totally nails the experience of camping — the little joys and discomforts, the serenity and the inevitable obsession with camping gear.

 

I just watched Akira for the first time, and it was grrrrreat!

 

yeah since cinemas re-opened in Australia they have been showing classic films and I got to see it there before Christmas. First time seeing an anime in theatre, and I was very impressed

 

Mamoru Oshii returning to his comedic roots with a new ONA coming out this valentine's day. He's posted the first ep. Apparently there is no production committee on this show its just the animation staff with free reign.

 

Lupin III The First was surprisingly great! A lot of Castle of Cagliostro vibes in this one

 

This ending is so dang good

I just binge-watched ERASED and loved it. I wanna find more anime like this

 

I’ve been getting into anime for the past month. Watched all of Mob Psycho, Haikyuu and Demon Slayer. Currently binging through MHA which is a fun show to turn my brain off and just watch some great fights. Not sure what i’ll watch after MHA but I know I have lots to catch up on anyway haha

 

Jujutsu Kaisen is really good, but if you want to dive into something that's got a lot of episodes out I would check out Fire Force.

 

Yeah i do want to check out Jujutsu, probably after the whole season drops though. @CobraKidJon linked me the 1st ED and it’s a banger

 

Anyone watching Wonder Egg Priority? People on MAL are comparing it to Madoka, Flip Flappers, Paprika and Penguindrum, though I doubt it's nearly as good as any of those. I should probably just give it a shot myself. Also dumbest title ever, haha.

On another note, I started learning French and got a big boost of motivation when I realized that Netflix has a French audio option for all the Ghibli films (at least in Canada). Now I have the perfect excuse to "study".

I am here for this.

Japanese Horror Manga ‘Hellsing’ Getting a Film Adaptation From Amazon and ‘John Wick’ Writer

 

Oh boy. Hellsing is one of my favorite series, period. Hope that doesn't end up sucking.

The idea of cramming everything Hellsing has to say into a movie length period of time... That's a task.

 

I'm mostly wondering how they deal with the comedy, if at all

 

Finally got around to watching Arakawa Under The Bridge. Such a fun show.
