I'm not even being mean or hard on the devs. I do feel for them, but ultimately it's a much better thing for everyone involved. Gary Whitta said it best in regard to Anthem with "you only get one chance to make a first impression" and trying to jumpstart that game right now for the fans is well intentioned, but a terrible business decision. In an ideal world all their hardwork would pay off and they'd be rewarded with an influx of new players, but we all know that in our world wouldn't happen and that the game has had so much negativity and problems around it since well before its launch that even attempting to recover from it is a fools errand a full two years after its release.

Just move the people to other projects, cut your losses and aim for something better in the future, which is what it sounds like they're doing. I hope Bioware does see brighter days because it seems like they've been plagued with issues for a while now and they used to be such a good studio.

 

disney should get the good bioware peeps back together and have them do a new kotor or whatever theyd want to call it. mass effect aint it chief.
