As I said earlier in this thread, the opposite sides that is the b-side to the ocean 7-inch is my favorite cope era track. Play that thing like crazy.

 

I was absolutely obsessed with the Escape cover when it came out

Pretty sure I paid like $30 on ebay for the 7 inch when it first came out cause that was the only place I could find it. Might be my most played record since I left it on repeat.

 

Its not controversial, it's accurate. The choir, the strings, the chorus lyrics...yikes

 

I feel like a lot of people gush/gushed over it and I’ve always felt like I was somehow wrong. Haha. I’ve never really liked it. One of the only songs in their catalog that I usually skip.

 

My controversial opinion: the choir in "Virgin" is better than the Casio-keyboard choral sound in "Where Have You Been?"

 

Not if you like the Killers circa 2004

 

I still think I made the right choices here, but it wasn't flowing well when listening as a playlist so I updated it and it works pretty well. I would pay good money to see them perform this as a set list:

god damn it's only been a week.

 

It’s incredibly hard for me to understand the hate for Virgin. I am clearly outnumbered in these parts, but jeeze louise. That song is incredible, and is the intersection of so many things this band does beautifully.

 

Get the FUCK out of here.

Why didn't they ever do that version of "Virgin" where the fans would sing and replace the creepy kids chorus? Or did they and I missed it?
