Some of the instrumentation is giving me early 00’s emo vibes

I saw Chino on the tracklist and got curious. That song is pretty good. Never thought I'd hear Chino and Travis on a song together!

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

The full album is, but Travis is only on the new deluxe edition tracks. 14 total.

First 14 tracks is the new Travis Barker "pop punk" album. The 26 following tracks are from the album he dropped in December that tanked. Gotta get those streams up!

  9. i'll hold off my judgement until the album's out, but features on a blink album doesn't exactly get me stoked. we'll see though.

I was lucky to be able to attend the final night of the “Untitled” shows in LA in 2013, and surprisingly Tom sounded pretty great. Not a lot of AVA-sounding vocals and he was on-key. He’s all over the place in terms of consistency with live vocals though.

While I agree, it's not as wide a gap to me. He's great.

I like how Nine was just Blink. Matt is still new enough of a voice to some people not to crowd an album.

If they wanted to go down the lots of guests road for some music, I would have rather that been in the form of an EP. Guests on an album is fine, but too many feels like a gimmick. I know we have no idea at this point how many features the album will have at this point. Just want them doing so many away it draws away from the band on a full length.

Has there been a discussion about Travis Barker almost single handedly bringing emo/pop-punk back into fashion?

Obviously huge influence on Machine Gun Kelly's projects (ModSun, YungBlud, etc) but he's been killing it in the underground scene with Kennyhoopla, Poorstacy as well. Featured in both videos below.

Two other songs that were released last Friday. I think he also has another song with Kennyhoopla coming out (possibly an EP or Album?)

  22. i don't know about him bringing "emo/pop punk back into fashion" but he's definitely making some waves bringing emo rap more into the mainstream i guess.

I wouldn't give him any of that credit. Artists like Lil Peep and Juicewrld blew up a few years ago. MGK and him seem to just be riding the wave.

    Things have changed.

"Feat. Travis Barker" is basically worthless now when he's on everyone's songs. He's definitely diluting the excitement of the feature by doing too many.

He obviously loves working, so good for him, but as a selling point it doesn't mean much now.

growing up a fan of hip hop and blink it’s cool that guys like Peep and Juice had that blink element in their music. It’s cool to see that sound continued but I found what they were doing a lot more interesting than the MGK or Trippie Redd stuff.
