I find it strange Tom didn't mention Jerry Finn in the Pusuit of Tone.

Tom's songwriting and guitar sound drastically changed once Jerry was in the fold. In the episode of Album Launch for Untitled and the Cheetah video updates, there's a slew of footage with Jerry recommending Tom different amplifiers, guitars, and pedals, and assisting with song structures, riffs, and melodies.

To me, it seems a little disrespectful to mention Critter, but not the man once referred to as "the fourth member of blink-182."

 

In Tom's defense maybe he did but it was cut out due to time/content/pacing issues. I mean I'm sure Tom probably talked a lot more than what was shown in the final cut.

 

There could have been some B-roll or deleted scenes that had him talking about Jerry. Who knows? Maybe Tom wanted it to sound like he was the golden god that came up with his own guitar sounds and whatnot.

Absolutely there could be. Although, I'd like to think Tom wouldn't have agreed to Jerry's influence being cut, y'know? Just seems odd.

That was a very nice documentary.

 

In this new good charlotte song "40 oz dream" there's the line "now all the punkrockers are over 40" - can't help but thinkin bout ma boys in blink..

 

It also has a line about coaching little league that makes me think of Tom because he posts pictures of his son playing baseball.

 

Now all the punkrockers are over 40 and into space.

 

What's the most unique piece of blink memorabilia that you own? Mine is this blink/MCR co-branded skate deck signed by both bands

 

I own the first edition of the 'Feelin This' flag they released, limited to 182. I also have the yo-yo they released, lol.

 

Mine isn't that unique but it's MT&TS on vinyl that was signed by Travis (2013) and Tom last summer. It's cool because they drew on it. Travis drew one of Mark's teeth missing and Tom put a mustache and sombrero on himself

 

I have the yo-yo too, haha.

i used to have the bunny stuffed animal

i guess i have nothing very cool, haha.

 

Not that it's rare, but I have one of the smaller plastic bunnies they were selling on the '09 reunion tour. A techie gave me one of Mark's pics at that tour- I keep it in the box with the bunny

As much as I love the band I literally have no cool memorabilia outside of a bunch of t-shirts, Atticus sweatshirt/shirts, hat etc. I never even wear them anymore either. I guess I'd have to say the Tom Delonge custom Fender Strat would be my coolest item.

 

I have an original Atticus track jacket lol

 

I do still have the broken heart Atticus shirt somewhere. It's a bit too big for me to wear now though, but I can't get rid of it, haha
