Nerds in WSB are pining for the report that will show the percentage of shorts sometime tonight, even though it only covers data up to the 29th of last month and probably won't even contain accurate numbers anyway

 

Hmm the report is out and the shorts are at 78%..... that's still very high

 

So I'm taking a different approach to market timing/gambling.

Currently have about $100 at webull and robinhood each. And as nice as it is to move in and out of crypto harvesting gains, the movement isn't as good as I'd like.

So here's what I'll do-I'mma try out market timing based off technical analysis.

At market open/premarket, I'll scope the top daily movers. Anything that's moving +60% or more and then dips down to say + 20 or so, I'll make note of. I'll decide on one, with a stop loss sell and limit sell; stop loss at -20% from buy in, and limit sell at +25%. With the intense volatility, I hope to make 25% on one trade, each day.

Today was day one of this. Bought KALV at $32.00, and sold at $40.00...+25%.

I'll alternate which platform I use by the day-Webull, robinhood, webull, robinhood-allowing me to remain under the day trading lmiitation threshold for each platform.

Is it stupid? Maybe. I'm really more of a buy and hold guy for my real investments, so this $200 of play money should be interesting to bear out.

 

Be weary of Robinhood, they are quick to mark you as a day trader and will restrict you from buying for 90 days (unless you have 25k in buying power)

 

You can do 3 day trades in a 5 trading day period, so using 2 platforms (robinhood and webull) should allow me to get around this.

No matter the rolling 5 day period, there will be no more than the 3 day trades on a specfic platform.

 

Is Webull the same? I’ve never really looked into what their policy is on it

 

I thought it was an SEC limitation that the platform has to anaylize, not that RH makes up its own rules.

EDIT: From what I can find, Webull utilizes Apex clearing, and RH uses its own clearinghouse. I think it's the clearinghouse level where this info gets reported to the SEC, so using both platforms should skirt this restriction.

SNDL whoa

 

Bought 50 SNDL. Hope it isn't too late.

 

I sold my sndl at $1.20 :(

 

Wish I bought more SNDL, but happy I got in at 95 cents. How much more we think this is gonna climb? I set a limit order at $2 but something tells me its not gonna dip for a while.

 

I sold my SNDL at $1.75. Not a bad little profit but could have held out for more.

 

Two weed companies just merged, so I think there is a lot of room for all of the companies to move up.

 

So mad at myself for selling my SNDL lol. I woulda basicalyl doubled my investment now

 

Wait I might actually get rich off of SNDL

 

The idea with most of these weed stocks would be to hold until its legalized in the states isn't it?

 

Wish I would’ve bought more SNDL at 1.08 when I originally bought in.

 

Think I mentioned it already, but Aphria basically jumped from a $10 stock to $27 in a week. So mad at myself for not jumping on that.

Also I dont know much about CGIX, but they jumped today from $4.50 to $17.50 this morning.

 

I have a little bit of money in a lot of these stocks that are projected to go boom soon, wishing I could have put in more but it's something I guess.
