I love that it's a cover of the Heatmiser song referenced in Kill.

This is and will always be my favorite band ever. It's eerie in a way, and they still continue to make great music. Get Right has been stuck in my head since I've heard it.

 

wow, i've always liked damage, but for some reason it's clicking for me a lot more right now than it ever did before (been about a year since i've listened probably). the production really works and the melodies are outstanding.

 

I was iffy on the production when it was first released, but since I have come to appreciate it.

 

that bridge on "no, never"...

 

I think every song on Damage has at least one line that breaks my heart.

 

You just get it! And it looks like slowly but surely we are spreading the gospel of Damage. That album seriously wrecks me every time

 

I just love how musically dynamic this band is. The usual drum bass guitar keyboards, but mixed with synths and acoustic guitars and handclaps and string work and bells plus the various tempos and tunings they play around with. They do such a good job of keeping things fresh in their catalog which I think is important. Not to mention Jims got a great vocal range and can do a lot of moods and emotions.

i was in one of those "on again off again fighting all the time" relationships about a year ago or so, it was miserable. My coping mechanisms were Commit This To Memory and Chase This Light, specifically Let It Happen. That chorus encapsulated everything I was feeling about this awful, frankly emotionally abusive relationship.

 

God I know that feeling. Praise music. (Praise Chorus .fm)

 

I love how heavy Firefight is and then how synth pop Here It Goes is and how dark and subdued Gotta Be Somebodys Blues is. Like, so many different tones and paces throughout CTL that all work so well together.

 

solidarity my friend. Have you gone through Invented yet? i dont know if ive ever heard you talk about that one too much. didnt know if you had any new thoughts. i mean, i know you really like it since you love the band like the rest of us but curious if there were any specific thoughts on it you had.
