Kacey Musgraves Will Lend Her Voice to Studio Ghibli's 'Earwig and the Witch' Animated Film

 

Hopefully this means if things are safe I get to see her in 2021.

 

It's pretty insane how much mileage Kacey's had for an album that's almost three years old.

 

July seems sketchy still but we'll see!

What I see from that poster is that I should expect new music from a fair amount of artists by July if things go well

You know, I really respect Kacey and her efforts to make the world a better place. They are really closely aligned with mine and I think her voice is so important.

but god damn if she doesn’t piss me off with her insta stories being trips with friends no masks parties and all that shit.

 

Agreed. I have the same problems with people like Dua Lipa that see no problem with them posting pics of their extravagant, maskless adventures with their friends. It sucks. Rich people live on a different plane of existence.

 

Yeah if something happens they can afford a level of care that far exceeds what many people on govt subsidized or even good private healthcare can, which doesn’t even factor in preventative care.

 

I have way more issues with Dua doing many many things, flying, big groups, etc than I do with Kacey driving to the mountains with 3 friends.

 

I don’t know anything about dua, don’t follow her, but over the past few weeks/months there have def been parties and other group events where I’m just like wtf cmon

 

Knew what this bump would be about before even coming in... definitely interesting stories she's been posting throughout the pandemic.

 

Both are bad. And she’s posted other stuff that’s been suspect. It’s just they’ve been on stories so they don’t stick around.

 

I heard an upcoming feature she's doing and YOW. Would not be surprised if she has a pop album coming.

 

Selfishly, I hope she doesn’t ditch her country roots entirely, but I would not be surprised.

 

I'm guessing she's got a Red/1989 back-to-back turn in her somewhere, the only question is how long it takes.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the Troye Sivan feature will have her working with Mark Ronson in the future.

 

Golden Hour is kind of her Red, at least so far, so we could be heading toward a 1989. She started more country than Taylor Swift ever was, though, so her going full pop would be a bigger jump. Very interested to hear whatever she's got coming next, either way!

 

For me she's playing in a more psychedelic country space, outside of "High Horse". I'm thinking it'll be baby steps.

Actually her next record is going to have a weird tonal discord. With the way she's on the cusp of mainstream pop appeal, no way the label is pushing for a set of downer songs. That said, she just broke up with her husband. Wonder if the PR story will be something cringeworthy like "Country Lemonade".

 

Yeah, I was actually just writing about that potential clash for our most anticipated albums feature. Is it the breakup album, or the upbeat pop album, or both?

 

ok but........ what's the feature and when can I have it?!?

 

Golden Hour already went too far for me so at this point it doesn’t matter to me

 

I could see her doing what Maren did and having a feature with ZEDD or a a similar DJ, get her name right out there in the mainstream, then still have her next album be rooted in country
