High As A Kite is the best song on Black by far but Can’t Knock the Hustle is a good song

Same. Effortless pop tune.
Byzantine is my fav, probably followed by High as a Kite.

 

I'm not crazy for Byzantine, but it still blows my mind that LJG co wrote a Weezer song.

 

in my mashup of PD and Black I selected Hustle, LA, Kite, Zombie Bastards, and Piece of Cake from Black. Think those are the best songs on there.

Black isn't in my love tier but Prince is really the only song I don't like on it. Definitely not all great songs but whenever I listen to it I like it a lot more than I remember

Between Black and PD there could be an album I love

 

I was reading Weezerpedia and Brian doesn't like Prince either. Says the version he co-wrote is better

 

I love both PD and Black, and prefer them to EWBAITE and White. I think they’re both fantastic road trip records, also (which is when I fell in love with them). There’s just something about them to creates a mood, and I can’t get enough of them.

Also I will not accept any Can't Knock the Hustle slander.

Sometimes that's the only song that gets me out of bed.

 

"Byzantine" is my favorite on Black but the first side of that record is solid and I like "California Snow," corny as it is. Pacific Daydream def gets the edge for me though. Just a perfect, carefree summer album to drink and listen to with friends.

I actually feel like Pacific Daydream is the Weezer album that is best suited for like a little summer shindig with friends.

 

I feel like this song by Petey is eerily coincidentally similar to the new Weezer track

like they’re obviously different but it’s weird

 

They should’ve added “OK” to every song title on the new album. Honestly surprised they didn’t.
