Publix is not a great place to work, I can assure you. They’ve cut back on the benefits for employees pretty substantially the past few years.

Once the owner’s family gave up control, it went to shit. Bad enough for me to go into massive debt just to get out and get a decent job, whereas before I was considering going the management route with them lol

I wonder how many rats are going to try to get off the ship right before its fully submerged. Better time to impeach than any.

As close to a concession as we'll probably get, MAGA chuds were saying his last video didn't say who's inauguration so it could still be Trump

    Hell yeah

A little behind on grocery store talk but we've been buying these pre-made spicy meatballs from Mariano's, and they're amazing. Never had brand loyalty until now.

But also they're probably at other stores that's just where we found them. Craving them again.

Also have I preached to this thread about Friday Pizza Pie Day? Me and my girlfriend have been getting a pizza every Friday since like March and its added more joy to my life than anything else, highly recommend it. Friday just feels like a day for pizza and making it rhyme is fun.

I hadn't heard of that - not great! Companies should demand more from their suppliers. As a consumer it's all so opaque and impossible to track this type of thing. If only we had a government with stronger labor laws, so individuals wouldn't have to make demands of individual companies.

    That's a bummer to hear.

If your client is going to insist on hanging themselves against your advice like that, there’s not much you can actually do to save them. Gayle said that she would get upset every time the lawyer interjected. And you can hear her whispering “Stop, stop...” after she did the “Enough” lol

Although this is so much worse by virtue of being on fucking national television, I have 100% seen worse in actual court lol

This seems to be the route that most of the companies that even treat their people decent ultimately take, usually when the second or third generation sells off control of the company. It's sad. Our country kinda blows.

Yeah, given what that girl was willing to go on national television and say and double down on without batting an eye for even a second, I'm sure that lawyer put up a valiant effort and tried to get her to listen to reason and just got completely ignored.

Aside from finding balance with becoming a father this year, two other resolutions of mine for 2021 are to quit drinking alcohol and take better care of my skin haha.

So we've gone from "he shouldn't be president one more day" to "We're looking at late this week" to " as early as mid next week"

Tldr answer: it's believed that you can effectively get the second shot past the 2 week period since there are some boosters for other vaccines you get years apart from each other, but more research is needed. Probably not a great idea to do without more data, but it's strongly believed it should be ok

Depends on when it will be implemented. Biden also wants to do the Defense Production Act on the vaccine itself. So if you do that a little while after that then it would make somewhat sense. You would have a giant amount of vaccine doses coming.
