No i meant he probably was afraid if he opened fire that he'd get lynch mobbed right there. I tend to agree that logically, and knowing what cowards these people truly are, they probably all would have scattered. But being in his position there I guess I can't blame him for not realizng that.

It seems like he ultimately did the much smarter thing in this situation, but I absolutely 100% would have shot that guy out in front of the crowd who keeps approaching when he says to get back. I have to assume that at least part of his thinking was that he didn't have enough bullets for all of them.

 

I’m probably gonna keep beating this drum for a while but they need to not just go after Trump but do what Cori Bush already did and go after other members of Congress.

Having watched all of the videos and sitting around now with the benefit of hindsight and getting to think about it and analyze how the crowds seemed to be acting in all of the videos, it does seem to me like if you shot that front guy the rest of that crowd would have retreated, at least temporarily. But he didn't have any of those advantages, and he only had like what, 15 bullets in his magazine maybe? I don't know exactly how many rounds those hold, but there were certainly many more people there than he had bullets, and they definitely could have angrily surged forward and attacked him after he shot that lead guy.

 

Also maybe consider just temporarily dropping the paywall for major news stories like this lol

Perhaps it’s seeing a whole crowd and knowing that if you unload, even justifiably, you will have basically singled handedly caused a massacre. You don’t wanna have all those bodies on your conscience. I dunno.
