I feel like they can. Are there any democrats who have actually said they oppose a public option? Even Manchin has said he supports that. Of course voting for something is different than saying you support it, so who knows. Though would they need 60 votes for that or just a simple majority? Obviously they would never be able to get 60 votes for that

Edit: just realized when you said 50 votes you were prob referring to how many they need to pass it not how many dems would vote for it lol oops

 

They need to get Stacey abrams to do whatever she did in georgia but for the whole country. She's a miracle worker.

I am fully on board with a Trump Republican party and a "normal" Republican Party coexisting so that they can forever split the vote and become (somehow) more dysfunctional than the Democrats. No complaints here from me

 

Ya I get that but I mean...her approach may have saved democracy here at least for our generation. And there's nothing "magical" about it, she put in a decade of work to get to this point. She doesn't need to be the savior but politicians should be looking at her approach and seeing how to best implement it. Nothing racially charged about that.

i believe DC has a large working class black community. so hopefully someone from the community rather than the out of town folk.
