It somehow feels wrong if Messi plays for some other club not named FC Barcelona. I could understand if he eventually moved to his home club in Argentina but playing for City, PSG or in the US seems so weird. I always assumed he would retire at Barca.

Pretty sure it can continue, amateur sports can't.

 

I legit zoned out of the broadcast and zoned back in as he mumbled something about "Premier League *mumble, mumble* stopped". I presumed he was on about fan pilots stopping?

 

In my eyes, the PL should stop for this period. The reason being the number of players who have broken rules recently and the fact that several games have already been postponed in recent weeks.

However, with all the tests, it is probably less likely to add to the spread.

Just obey the rules you rich football players!!!

 

EFL will probably have to stop, things are worse than in March when it did all stop.

 

What's this mean for the Pro14 and Premiership rugby teams? I assume those'll be postponed?

 

I agree about following the rules. The more high profile breaches we have, the closer we get to them being forced to make a decision on the league.

 

They would fall under elite sports in the UK. Irish teams in the Pro14 haven’t been stopped either.

I remember the rugby internationals when they had social distancing during the anthems, made perfect sense for such a contact driven sport.

The second tier ice hockey here in Sheffield are considered elite and even played games during the last lockdown. Just guys with day jobs.
