So it says the album comes out on November 20th but preorders don't ship until January 30th apparently. Also can't find a tracklisting to save my life.

The vibe reminds me of the early November’s lilac. I’m really excited for this.

Not as good as heavy, and very overtly poppy, but I dig it

Just finished my first run through. Early favorites are heavy, momma, even when I don’t. I’m not sure it had an immediate top tier mind blowing track like each of the previous records, but it’s consistent and very different for him, especially the singing style.

Surprisingly good, jut not nearly enough of it. I feel like most tracks could be a bit longer and the there could be a few more of them. Back of Your Room is the early standout for me- I feel like an older version of Lydia would brought it back after the bridge and had a long atmospheric outro that I would have loved even more- sigh. Overall like the musicality, vocals, and style a lot more than Liquor

The 1st time I listened, I wasn’t a huge fan but after multiple listens, I’m enjoying it.

I like that this album feels like it was recorded just by Leighton. Feels more cohesive than some of their last few records and actually reminds of Paint It Golden even though it doesn’t really sound like it.

I also like that most of the record is laid back. He has a great voice and I feel like it really comes through here. On some of their faster songs, I don’t think his distinctive voice shines through as much, if that makes sense.

I can’t wait to blaze and listen to this.

I’m 5 or 6 listens in now and it’s really starting to click, I agree with everything you said. I still think there are some sloppy lyrics & transitions and eh choruses but yea, very intimate sounding. Idk if this is accurate or unfair but I always blamed Matt for things I didn’t like and what I assumed was his influence feels less prominent on this lol

Lol. It makes sense because PIG was so good and that was just Leighton and Craig, but I always blamed the random folk song they’d throw in on Leighton. While I wouldn’t be opposed to an EP of that style, I always thought songs like Runaway, Back to bed, and Paint My Mind were random and through off the flow of the records they were on.

I’m glad he brought Justin into the mix and didn’t include Shawn. Maybe just as unfair as what you said, but I blame my dislike of Liquor on Shawn haha. Even though the lyrics were the weakest aspect of that album and I’m pretty sure Leighton writes those lol

Interesting, I like runaway and back to bed, but I loathe paint my mind. What I really liked about liquor was that it didn’t have any of those awkward poppy or folky transitions, like going from the sweet brooding intro of when it gets dark out into its lame chorus, or all of Georgia, or we’ll never die. Just don’t think they do those airy gang vocal choruses very well at all. Liquor at least felt more elegant, if painfully simple.

    Better than you, sorry

i liked this album. Haven't liked anything since illuminate and so i'm thrilled. Nobody mentioned Peach Paint which i think is tops. Heavy, Momma, Might Get Lost Out Here, who we gonna be now, and even when I don’t are all good. I'm into this style and direction. Build on it

I really enjoy it. I prefer the original or course but the cool to have both versions.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

really digging this new version of This December actually. amazing hearing Maria's voice again after all this time and I'm enjoying how the modern production meshes with early Leighton lyrics

I like that he's taking more risks with the prod too and getting weirder with it. I Was Someone Else is a big step up from Liquor though I still don't love it
