from WI and this is very real. My family called it “wildcat” and eat it every year at Christmas parties. I’ve never tried it and never will. It’s grossed me out since I was a kid.

 

I’m from across the border in Minnesota and have never heard of that before. Wisconsin gonna Wisconsin

No they’re just voting for people that don’t care if that’s all they have to eat from a dumpster

 

occasionally you hear about their marshmallow jello salads and wonder if anything is real or sacred

 

I bet Sherrod Brown eats raw meat sandwiches, that's how he keeps winning statewide races in Ohio as a democrat. Somebody start feeding them to Biden ASAP.

 

Now I had no idea that was a Midwest dish. I'd just assumed serving marshmallow jello salad at family gatherings was an overall American thing

Also it is an interesting dynamic there how Ohio has swung so much further right than the other states despite some other similarities. I can't even completely blame it on coal country turning because obviously PA has been able to rise above that.

 

More to do with trade/manufacturing imo, Ohio had the tires, cars, and all the industry in Cleveland that left

 

but then can’t you say Michigan had those things as well? Same with PA steel and such? It just seems like a crazy swing compared to their bluer neighbors (not counting Indiana here which was just a random ass blue swing for one year). Wisconsin almost feels like it should be redder than Ohio for some reason haha

Yeah Michigan is a good comparison. I don’t know. Cleveland just hasn’t presented the voter base like Detroit. The dem leadership here has been really bad too.
