  2. and really does Brock Lesner really move the needle for WWE anymore? Is he still an attraction that makes all this worth it?

you can't trust them to put on a good show with the main roster, that's the biggest thing haunting the product right now and the number one issue that needs tackling. look how good nxt can be without even much buildup to a card. that should be the goal: that people know what they're getting without you having to overhype or beat shit into the ground in the hopes they tune in. the main roster isn't at that place, which is why they have to trot brock out every four months to sell tickets, because they know the rest of the show isn't reliably good enough for people to show up to watch otherwise.

I think they can build Samoa Joe up as a guy who can beat Brock. Wasn't there a report out recently that it was being tossed around?

So, if I'm Seth Rollins, and I look back on the last two Summerslams, I gotta say I'd be pissed. In 2015, coming off his shocking upset at WM and some very weak booking, he puts on a match that was every bit as good as AJ/Cena. But he needs Jon Stewart to intervene...and he accomplishes a rare feat (holding both titles) in a shady way.

Now, a year later, after a great title run and an injury, two guys that werent even on the WWE main roster a year ago get booked over him. AJ gets a clean win over Cena (and kicks out of a super AA), and Finn goes over him clean.

Especially when Seth is a WWE guy, and the other two made their names elsewhere

Nah, I loved that. Its Round 3 of the feud, and 2 guys who have consistently put on great matches over the last 6 months. It makes sense that they would each go above and beyond.

I know he threw his own name out there....but man, that would be doubling-down on stupid.

Its bad enough that just two years after ending the streak, WWE may sour on Brock. But giving the rub from that to a 37yr old dude would not be smart. Not when there are other, younger options

And then he spent 6 years in WWE developmental and main roster. I think most would consider him a WWE guy at this point. Finn's a blurrier line, but he was big with another company just 2 years ago.

And of course, at this time last year, AJ was competing in G1 Climax.

And has that worked out well? Is Brock gonna be the face of WWE for the next decade? And if he is, will anyone be happy about it?

I'd like it if Joe got pushed as hard as AJ has in his first 6 months. But do you see either as champs 5 years from now? Compared to Bray Wyatt or Big E or Cass or hell, even Strowman...all 30ish year old guys who are more within the WWE system

And hey Heath Slater is only 33, and the hottest free agent in the business!

edit: Or, Seth Rollins has beaten Brock once for the title, why not him?

So everyone had a huge problem with the universal championship belt? I thought it looked fine. I was wondering what all those weird chants were. I get being mad at the endings, but I thought this ss was definitely better than last year.

I cannot believe the fans at Barclays allowed themselves to be completely taken out of what was a match most of us have been drooling over for the past couple years because a strip of red leather
