For Cyberpunk, the blurbs I read from reviews look like blurbs for a 6 or 7 out of 10 game, but then the actual score will be a 9.5/10 or 10/10

The reviews for Cyberpunk seem to say the game is cool but it def needs those day one patches.

Today has been an icky day for me and my expectations. I’ve been on the fence about buying it but now, I wanna wait and see how it ends up before shelling out money for it. Glad I cancelled my Amazon preorder.

 

I probably won’t pick up a Series X until March (if I can even find one by then), so I’ll wait to play Cyberpunk. Hope the state of the game is much better by then.

For now, I’m doing Dragon Quest XI on Game Pass.

 

Like everything about it cyberpunk, all expectations are built on back of Witcher 3. That was equally a shit show when launched and was stabilized out a ton, so they def are being given benefit of doubt when it comes to “they’ll patch it up”

I’m just out here hoping we get Skyrim levels of YouTube glitch videos to keep me entertained

I dunno, it’s kinda bad to delay your game for over a year and still have it end up in this state. Like yeah, CP2077 will be patched to a satisfactory level but it’s definitely annoying considering how long they’ve dragged this out and this is what they have to show for it.

Idk I can and have tolerated plenty of buggy games - from AAA devs no less. Battlefield 3, and Assassins Creed 3 are examples that come to mind immediately and they were game breaking. However, sometimes bugs in games are oddly endearing - Elder Scrolls comes to mind lol.

Anyways, game build seems the least of CDPR’s worries now but I do agree.

 

Thanks! Never played a DQ game before, and know virtually nothing about the series as a whole, but I’m really enjoying this so far. Kind of feels like a Zelda game meets old school Final Fantasy.

 

Bethesda had a free pass for those glitches and bugs until 76 came out
