The latest poll I've seen says that 60% of people say they will take the vaccine and I think that number will just go up the closer the vaccine gets to the general public in, say, May-July months.

 

I don't know anyone who WON'T be taking the vaccine now that I think about it.

 

Should be mandated if possible too many dumb people. Hopefully more business require it like ticketmaster is planning to so that people have a larger incentive to get it.

 

Yeah it should absolutely be mandated for everyone that doesn’t have a legitimate health reason

 

The thing I'm concerned with is that there is a quarantine necessary between both doses, correct? That's essentially a month of quarantine time and how the hell are hourly employees or servers going to react to needing to take time off of work to quarantine from a vaccine.

 

Is that true? How will that be workable for almost anyone if that’s the case?

 

The vaccines will be two shot vaccines, that much I know. And I thought I read they recommended quarantining after the first shot but I am not certain on that and someone else I'm sure will clarify. Otherwise I'll look around later to see if I can find what I read.

 

I wouldn't think so and I haven't seen anything that says that but yeah that'd be crazy. Also Pfizer and Moderna both use rdna which isn't even the actual virus right so idk how you'd be contagious or anything.

I haven't heard anything about quarantining between vaccines, but have heard some people got pretty bad symptoms the day after so people in the trial suggested taking off the next day from work, but then they were fine by day 2

 

I've never had my opinion on somebody I held in such high regard change as quickly as it did when I saw that...it was incredibly depressing (and eye opening).

In regards to this vaccine talk, it’s understandable to be weary of the speed it was completed in and wanting to be sure it is safe. I know back in the summer, I would always just tell people as long as it’s proven safe and effective I would get it, but anything ready soon does seem a bit fast.

Now I’ve seen enough from health experts and doctors to know that this is safe to take. The only people I see raising alarms are people who clearly are no where near qualified to talk about the safety of vaccines.

I would say no to making it mandatory in general, but yes for schools, and hopefully yes for big events and things like that so that people have no choice but to get it if they want to be an active participant in society.

I will get the vaccine at the first opportunity, seeing as though I went to get a chest x-ray today and the technician was talking to me without a mask in month 9 of the pandemic.
