Any chance Biden extends the deferment as part of the student debt relief in the first 100 days that's been floated?

“Currently, 21.3% of medical/surgical beds are available and 14.1% of ICU beds in Region 2”

From my local paper. I hope I don’t need a hospital for nonCovid anything.

Would be stupid if he didn’t, at least until they can get something done in regards to Student Loan policy

The problem with waiting until Biden takes office is the loan servicers could have major issues turning everything back on (repayment, collections, wage garnishments, etc) and then being able to turn it right off again.

For people defaulted on their loans and suffering from wage garnishments, some of them still had their wages garnished for weeks after payments were deferred in the spring.

This needs to be done prior to Jan 1.

It’s not going to be, Trumps just going to cause Administrative chaos here obviously. These servicers should have communication with the incoming admin to see what they’re going to do

They absolutely need to extend the deferment. People are going to be so so fucked if they don’t (even more than they’re currently fucked)

AOC and Ilhan have both been pretty on top of the student loan issue these last several months, so I get the feeling they're going to pressure the Biden team hard to extend the deferment for as long as possible

I guess the thing with the PPP lookup gotcha stuff is we don't know how the money was spent. Did it go to all employees or just those at the top? How much went to rent and utilities? I'd imagine TB12 has employees other than Tom Brady

pretty sure they’re currently deferred by a Trump EO so if he doesn’t extend deferment day 1 it would be awfully pathetic

it still seems weird for loans like that to go to multi-millionaires. Like couldn't Tom himself have just come up with the loan money? Save the PPP stuff for actual small businesses.

Tom Brady made $15 million in 2020, if "TB12, Inc." needed an infusion of cash he could've provided it himself easily.

Tom and Giselle are worth close to $650M...what a joke...

According to Forbes in 2019 TB12 has about 80 employees.
