how did the conversation about sandwiches seamlessly turn into brand new???

Subway is so expensive it's like $9 a meal there, that's enough to buy most of the ingredients and make 12 identical sandwiches. Daisy was my first BN record and I still think it's the most interesting thing they've done. I miss wawa, they had really good pretzels.

I literally only have Quiznos and subway here. I hate subway. Firehouse subs is really good, I miss that place too.

 

As a promotion for the next Brand New album, send in a few dollars and in 10 years you'll get a sandwich in the mail

Out of those three, I like Quiznos most, but the ones around me have been dropping like flies for years. Just one left within a forgivable distance if worked into a day's adventure. My brother loves it, so that still happens, lol.

So I decided to ad "If" by Rudyard Kipling to my curriculum this year because the day of Matthew Arnold and Kipling fell on our hour-long period and was reading through it with my students in class today and audibly said "oh shit" when it hit the line about "twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools". Did not realize that's where it came from.

 

I need to read that poem again. i havnt read it for a long time, probably since i found out thats where some of Sowing Season's lyrics are from.

 

I really want a hoagie now.

I'm convinced Brand New LP5 will be my most anticipated album every year until I stop having most anticipated albums.

There was a part of me that believed that we'd be getting new Brand New stuff this week. At least information.

I believe I've been in this perpetual state of fluctuating expectations between "It's definitely happening" and "There's no way, don't believe it me" for at least 5 years. Obviously there was a period after Daisy that I knew they weren't making new music.

 

There's still tomorrow...

 

How I hope. How. I. Hope.

 

I dont believe in Brand New news anymore. one day ill just wake up and LP5 will be in my itunes, and ill be fine with that.

 

As much as I want new Brand New, I can still listen to Degausser for the rest of my life and that's pretty sweet.
