I like bits of each of the three but there are definitely songs I am not a fan of from each as well.

  5. Decent. I don't love it though. I was really hoping that big riff they teased was going to be in the bridge or something. But yeah, it's an ok song either way.

That's probably for the song Sure and Certain. SortHits lists the song as "Rock/Metal" and a guy on the PulseMusic forums said its hitting radio on September 6th. Interesting!

I did not know that JEW recorded an alternate version of "You Were Good".

  10. They did? Where? I don't think I have this.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Amazon UK had it as a free download when it came out. Think I have it in my library.

    This is my design

The lyric video on their website made me want to go on a random road trip to who knows where while playing the song on repeat.

It's a full band recording versus the lo-fi quality of the original. Much poppier.

I feel you. The song is missing a distinguished riff to give it an identity.

It's good, Jason. I like the original, but having the entire band in tow makes it pop more.

Agreed. Song is fine it just doesn't strike me as first single material

Any possibility that this is just the first song released from the album, and the official "single" is the song that is apparently coming in a couple weeks? I know the lines are getting blurred between those two releases as everything surrounding music gets more digital, but still, it could explain why this might not seem like "first single material" to some people.

You Were Good (album version) has just clicked for me. It is such a beautiful song.
