Anyone else here work in the service industry and really scared? In Western NY we shut down indoor dining a couple weeks ago, after it already brings close earlier in the year from March to June.

It doesn’t look like indoor dining is opening anytime soon and there’s no one currently hiring above minimum wage in my area. With student loans payments beginning again in January I’m literally freaking out.

My lease car is due back at the end of December and without my job I have very little money to get a new car, let alone make my $441 monthly loan payment.

It’s kind of crazy that I’ve contemplated moving to another state that still has indoor dining to find a temporary gig and crash with some friends.

What the fuck is going on?

A lot of my friends in this situation have been able to survive on unemployment, but I know that varies state to state. I'd say definitely look into that, delivery jobs should be available, gig work etc., but its hard to know if that's enough and the pay on those was already low.

I'm really sorry about your situation, things are kind of fucked all over and there's no easy answers.
