Bill Gates is one of the biggest pieces of shit on the planet. He could be making the world a better place single-handedly and instead he makes it a worse place, by doing a waste of time podcast.

He's worse because he's invested so much money in propaganda to make you think he isn't that bad and it worked.

Most certainly the work of the Mossad; these guys are much smaller than the CIA, but just as good.

I actually kept going with that episode after that shit comment and it is shitty because they talk about how to access to education is directly related to a difference of $200,000 being made in one's life. So he acknowledges how important it is to get an education and how if you are able to, you are going to be able to have a better life and still says college shouldn't be free, or even debt free. It's crazy.

Ughfhfhfhgh; yeah I had a decent opinion of him for a long time, due to his philanthropic work, but if he can’t understand this simple thing with free college, then that really drops any goodwill I had towards him

Pssst, his philanthropy work is also a sham for fake goodwill, and if you compare his donations to his wealth its like an average person giving away fifty bucks a year, nothing to celebrate

Billionaire philanthropy is like someone taking all of your food and then giving you some back of their choice and then asking you to be thankful for it

In regards to free college, let me first say I don't agree with what Bill Gates said at all. But I have thought about what tuition-free public college would mean, and there are concerns that I never see get addressed. Specifically, I wonder how schools would be able to handle the inevitable big increase in students enrolling. Seems like there would be a significant increase in costs and the need for more resources and space at schools to account for that by having more professors, classrooms, etc. Public schools would just have to keep going back to the government for more money. And similarly, what happens to private schools? The appeal to enroll in a public college vs. private college would change drastically, which again I feel could overburden the public schools and at the same time also force a lot of private schools to close because it'll be tough to compete with free especially if you get no help. And when professors at private colleges generally get better salaries than public colleges, you'd be asking many to be taking a pay cut. Perhaps putting money into both the public and private college education sector would be able to drive down the costs of tuition all across the board. Or, what is stopping the government from doing something like significantly increasing Pell grants or other federal aid programs for students in which it could be applied for either public or private colleges so they have more choices rather than just having to choose a public school because that is all they can afford? Our country is not like others who have free tuition in which a vast majority of them are public, we are split pretty evenly between public and private colleges.

Who cares about private colleges? That's a business. That's the "free market" at work. If they go under because they can't compete that's on them.
